Fans of The Sims are all over the world, with one more piece of evidence proving that to be the case with this Sims mural located in Moscow, Russia. Reddit user GalacticAnimeGirl shared multiple photographs of the mural, which extends across multiple walls. The mural depicts three different Sims households, doing an excellent job of depicting the original art style of the series, down to the isometric view that the game was locked into at the time. Players with a keen eye may notice little details like the presence of a couple iconic Sims, who appear to be Bella Goth and Bob Newbie.
Moscow Sims Mural Origin is Somewhat Mysterious
A little internet sleuthing reveals that the mural is located around 6 Elektrodnaya Ulitsa in Moscow, Russia. Based on Google Maps Street View images, the mural was illustrated sometime between May 2019 and June 2021, but it’s not clear exactly when. Unfortunately, the identity of the artist also seems to be a mystery, with no visible signatures on the wall and no further information available from the OP of the post. While their identity remains unknown, hopefully the artist learns that the Sims throwback has been well-received.
Fans in the comments have been thrilled to see this detailed isometric Sims mural, and it seems to have triggered a flood of memories for many of them. Viewers have talked about wanting to visit the mural, or even to try and hug the wall, because they’re so fond of the game that started it all. Some fans pointed out that there were some missed opportunities with the mural, like how the different walls could have shown the same home from different angles, or that the pictured pool could have been placed elsewhere to utilize the actual ladder on the side of the building, giving it a 3D effect. Even so, the overall dedication to the creation of the murals has been widely praised.
