The limited-edition DualSense wireless controller, themed around The Last of Us franchise, is available for pre-order starting today, March 14th, with shipping slated for April 10. The new gamepad features neat nods to the hit PS5 game and costs $85, the same as previous limited-edition PS5 colors like the Helldivers 2 controller.
As with previous releases, these limited-edition PS5 controllers tend to sell out quickly, so we highly recommend locking in your order early. The DualSense Wireless Controller – The Last of Us Limited Edition (as it’s officially called) will be available at PlayStation Direct and other participating retailers, including Amazon and Walmart.

If you want to add another limited-edition controller to your collection, below is everything you need to know about when and where to pre-order the new Last of Us controller.
Where to Pre-Order The Last of Us DualSense Controller
Pre-orders for the Last of Us DualSense controller begin at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET today, March 14th, in the US, and at 10 a.m. local time in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. With limited quantities, scalpers, and the popularity of The Last of Us, this controller is likely to sell out fast.
To boost your chances of getting one, make sure your payment details and address are correct and ready to go well in advance. The Last of Us controller costs $85, similar to what we saw with the Fortnite and Helldivers 2 limited-edition controllers. With the standard DualSense controller priced at $75, you’re paying a $10 premium for the Last of Us paint job.
Pre-order the Last of US Controller on Walmart
The controller has a stealthy look, with a mostly black finish and white accents (a sort of reverse of the standard DualSense). The Last of Us fans will quickly spot the glossy trophy icons, pulled straight from The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II. As Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann says, “Players will recognize the Fireflies’ iconic spray-painted logo that originated in Part I, while the moth and wolf represent the intertwining lives and duality between Ellie and Abby in Part II.”
Under the hood, it’s the same DualSense controller we all know and love. You’ll still get those awesome haptics and dynamic adaptive triggers that really pull you into games. It works perfectly with the PS5 and older PlayStation consoles. But, yeah, that also means the thumbsticks are still at risk for stick drift. Even though third-party Hall effect and TMR controllers are getting cheaper and more popular, Sony still hasn’t updated its DualSense controllers with anti-drift sticks.
Grow Your PS5 Controller Collection With More Limited Edition Colors
The Last of Us DualSense controller isn’t the only limited-edition gamepad based on a hit game. Sony recently released the Helldivers 2-themed controller, with a battle-worn design and that iconic black and yellow color scheme. You can buy the Helldivers 2 controller on PlayStation Direct for $85, the same price as the new Last of Us controller.
If the stealthy, beat-down look of the Helldivers 2 controller isn’t your thing, the colorful Fortnite DualSense controller is an excellent option to add color and vibrancy to your gaming setup. At $85, you get a Fortnite-themed masterpiece with Fishstick and Peely to help you keep a solid grip.
