New Pokemon Anime Series Has a Time Skip
Recent reports indicate that the new Pokemon anime series has a time skip planned for its next season, breaking a franchise’s tradition.
Although Houndoom’s devilish design is unmistakable, one Pokemon fan redesigned the fiery hound as a custom Poke Ball. On the r/Pokemon subreddit, a Reddit user named Straightlampin shared pictures of a 3D-printed Houndoom Poke Ball they crafted. The artist stated that they designed the Houndoom Poke Ball using Autodesk Fusion, formerly known as Fusion 360, which is a program that can design and render 3D models to use with a 3D printer or other applications. The 3D printer that Straightlampin used was the Bambu Lab X1C, a desktop device that uses filaments to craft models and other goods.
Pokemon Fan Artist Shares 3D Printed Houndoom Poke Ball Design
The Houndoom Poke Ball used black, orange, white, and gray filaments. The Poke Ball’s top and bottom were black, with an orange interior and a white button in the middle. The bottom side had an orange spot to match Houndoom’s body. Houndoom’s horns adorned the top side, and its bone-like collar was wrapped around the bottom. Houndoom’s sharp tail was attached to the backside and curled up, along with three bone-like spines.
Though 3D prints of Pokemon like Squirtle have been done by other trainers, Straightlampin’s Houndoom Poke Ball was made as a portable model. Straightlampin stated the STL file that can be used to print a Houndoom Poke Ball is now available on their Etsy page for $3.99. Some Pokemon trainers complimented Straightlampin for their work and said that the idea of a Houndoom Ball was a cool one.
Pokemon trainers won’t have to wait long to see when Houndoom will appear in another game, as the Dark Pokemon will return in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It remains to be seen what artistic Pokemon fans will craft before Legends: Z-A arrives.
