Konami will add to the mainline Silent Hill series for the first time in well over a decade when it launches Silent Hill f. Teased for a while, the reveal of what exactly Silent Hill f will be took place via a Transmission in March. Seemingly a game that will turn the series on its head as Silent Hill won’t be a location like it has been until now, but rather a concept with the game set in 1960s Japan.
The one thing Konami didn’t give us during Silent Hill f’s reveal was a release date, although hopefully it’ll be here before the end of 2025. Retailers certainly seem to think so as pre-orders for the first new mainline Silent Hill game since 20212’s Downpour went live hours after the Transmission came to an end. Where To Pre-Order Silent Hill f
Konami hasn’t revealed a release date or pre-order details for Silent Hill f yet, simply pointing those eager to secure their copies of the game early to various store pages so they can wishlist it. However, if you want a physical copy, you can pre-order Silent Hill f right now. No idea when it will arrive since there’s no release date, but pre-orders are live through the retailers listed in the box below.
No more expensive editions or pre-order bonuses have been revealed, but that might change once we have a release date.
There appears to be a belief that Silent Hill f will be a PS5 console exclusive, but that’s not the case. 2024’s Silent Hill 2 remake was a PS5 exclusive and, for now, there’s no word on when it might arrive on Xbox Series X|S and other platforms. That exclusivity will not apply to Silent Hill f with the next game in the series launching on PS5 and Xbox on the same day.

What We Know So Far About Silent Hill f
Konami somehow managed to reveal a little and a lot about Silent Hill f via its debut trailer. Its lead character Shimizu Hinkao is trapped in her hometown that, as you can see above, is undergoing a horrific transformation. The game’s description teases a terrible decision the female lead will have to make, though we might not learn about that until we’re playing the game and faced with the decision ourselves.
Set in 1960s Japan, the warning you can find at the foot of the home page on Silent Hill f’s website confirms this game will not be for the faint of heart, or anyone who isn’t ready and able to play through what may end up being the most twisted entry in the Silent Hill series so far. As for what the f stands for, that’s currently up for interpretation, and knowing Silent Hill, that will probably still be the case after we’ve all played through it multiple times.
