Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a lot of interesting side content. However, to trigger some of them, you would need to meet a certain requirement and complete some steps beforehand. One such quest is Ars Dimicatoria, which you can trigger by talking to Master Menhard.

Give them a taste of Henry’s fists!
However, this mission won’t initially appear on your map. For that, you would need to talk to the innkeeper in Kuttenberg City and ask what’s new. That is when a new side quest will appear on your map. Here, we will guide you on how to complete it easily.
How To Start The Ars Dimicatoria Quest
You can start Ars Dimicatoria by speaking to the innkeeper in the tavern northwest of Kuttenberg City. Upon asking him what’s new, he will tell you about Master Menhard. On the east side, a new quest icon will appear, so go there and talk to Menhard.
Accept his duel and defeat him. After you have struck him a few times, or you have been struck by him, some men will interfere with your duel, causing you to stop. Shortly, you will be given a skill check to calm the situation. However, even if you fail, there is no need to worry. The quest will progress the same way.
Even if Menhard is banished from the town, the quest won’t have any effect, so talk to him.
How To Steal Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s Sword
Upon talking to Menhard, he will ask you to steal the Kuttenberg brotherhood’s sword. This is the hardest part of the quest, as both of the gates that will lead to the sword have either a hard or a very hard lockpick difficulty.
If you want to steal the sword at night, then drink a strong quickfinger potion. It will make lockpicking even very hard locks pretty easy. You can buy the potion from an apothecary in Kuttenberg City.
However, there is another way to go inside. Forget about going through the front door; it has a very hard lockpick difficulty; instead, go through the door at the back. While it usually has hard difficulty to lockpick, at noon, it is not locked.
So, enter through the door and go to the second floor. Take a U-turn and open the door on your right. The sword is on the wall at the east end of the table, so steal it. Once done, follow the coordinates on your map and interact with the wall to place your sword.
If you are spotted in the area or are caught stealing the sword, the opposition party will know about the incident, and your party will have a huge disadvantage during the duels. If you are caught/spotted, you and your allies won’t be able to wear any armor during the duels, making the fight very risky.
Now, report back to Menhard; after that, you will fast-travel to the town hall with him. Agree to help him in the duels and become a swordfighting brotherhood member. For that, you would need to beat Menhard if you hadn’t done it before and then take an oath.
Once done, skip 24 hours and tell him you are ready for the duels. If he still says to wait, skip another 24 hours and talk to him again.
We tried not to get caught while stealing the sword, but the opposition party still blamed Henry for the theft. Perhaps it can be avoided by stealing the sword at night when everyone is asleep.
How To Win The Duels
After a cutscene, the duels will commence. Menhard will go first, so wait for your turn. Once it is your turn, go to the yellow corner. Take out your sword as soon as the combat starts and start fighting. Your first two opponents, Linhart and Emmeram, won’t be a problem at all.
As Menhard is a master swordsman, you can learn quite a few things from him.
They are both pretty weak, so make quick work of them. If you are having a hard time with them, then focus on parrying and using combos more. Also, use Master Strike to deal serious damage.
The opponent you should be aware of is Master Nicolas. He is a skilled fighter but not as fearsome as Henry when he is hungry. Make sure not to strike him from the opposite side of his sword, as he can use Master Strike, too. He can also use quick counters, so you will need to be more careful.
Your strategy should be parry and riposte most of the time, but if you are confident in your Master Strike timing, use that. After defeating him, wait a few days, three to be specific. You can either do other quests or skip the time. Then, talk to Menhard, and the quest will be completed. He will offer you his longsword and a permanent bed at Swordfighting Hall as a reward. After completing Ars Dimicatoria, you can instantly start the Kuttenberg Tournament quest.
