How to Take a Vacation in The Sims 4
The Sims 4 doesn’t have hotels or Airbnbs, but players can still send their Sims on vacations. Sims can rent and stay on a different lot from their home during a vacation. All they need is a cell phone, simoleons, and some time to spare.
Use the following steps to take a vacation in The Sims 4:
- Open an adult Sim’s phone.
- Select the travel app.
- Scroll down and find “Take a Vacation…”
- Invite up to seven other Sims.
- Choose the vacation world.
- Pick an affordable Rental Lot.
- Determine how long the vacation will be.
Where to Take a Vacation in The Sims 4
Base game players can build Rental Lots in any Residential World if they want their Sims to have more vacation options. The worlds in expansion packs like Snowy Escape and Island Living are perfect for vacation rentals. Players can also purchase the Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventure, and Star Wars: Journey to Batuu Game Packs to get access to Destination Worlds.
Sims can’t live in Destination Worlds, but there is tons to do while visiting them. Players can search temples and find rare artifacts using Jungle Adventure. They can also learn all about the local culture, including special recipes. Outdoor Retreat is more focused on camping; players will stay in beautiful log cabins and enjoy fishing spots and bonfires.
The oddest Destination World is found in Star Wars: Journey to Batuu pack, which feels more like a trip to Disneyland than it does an actual vacation destination. However, Sims can dress up as classic characters and participate in an interesting storyline in this location.
How to Use Vacation Days at Work in The Sims 4
Vacations can last for anywhere between one and seven days. Sims with full-time jobs must ensure they have vacation days saved up, or else they could get fired. Sims will get more vacation days when they get promoted, but they can also get them as bonuses when they do well at work.
Use the vacationing Sim’s cellphone, open the work app, and choose “Take a Vacation Day” on a work day. Players will have to do this every day that their Sim will be gone on vacation before their shift starts to avoid getting in trouble.
