Within Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you can find little flags next to pink square buttons. Standing on these will trigger a challenge course, which are timed races that you can complete in order to get pieces of trophies. These courses are plentiful, and can be found almost everywhere!

Hello Kitty Island Adventure: Big Challenges Character Guide
Big Challenges is a tiny little alligator that you can meet in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Here, you can learn how to find and befriend him.
In this guide, we’ll take a look at how to complete challenge courses in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Additionally, we’ll go over the location for each course in the game. Completing some of them can be tough, so we’ll also cover some tips to help you complete them within the time limit.
Challenge Course Tiers
Each challenge course has three different tiers, marked by the flag flying near the square button. These tiers are Bronze, Silver, and Gold. When you complete the challenge for the first time, you’ll be doing the Bronze version, which gives you the most amount of time.
After completing the Bronze version, you’ll do the Silver version of the course. The route will stay the same, but you’ll have a little less time to complete the course. Once doing this successfully, you’ll then be able to complete the final, Gold version of the course. The Gold course has the shortest time of them all, and can be quite difficult to complete.
What Do You Get For Completing Challenge Courses?
As a reward for completing challenge courses, you get trophy pieces. These correspond to each level of the course. For example, when you complete the Bronze tier, you’ll get Bronze Trophy Pieces.
The pieces alone don’t have much value, but once you gather all of the trophy pieces from the same tier, you can craft them into a full Trophy. For example, when you complete all Seaside Resort challenges on the Bronze tier, then you can use them to make the Bronze Trophy for the area.
The trophies are named after the location where you get them. The Seaside Resort trophy mentioned above will be called the Bronze Seaside Trophy.

Tips To Complete Challenge Courses
Lastly, let’s take a look at some tips. It’s important to note that you don’t need to spend anything in order to start a course. As such, it’s a good idea to do a practice run. This can help you get acquainted with the layout and see if there is any difficult terrain that you need to navigate.
In addition to learning the course, there are also some companions that can really help out with the challenges. We’ve listed the companions below, as well as what their ability is.
Companion |
Helpful Ability |
Unlocks at Friendship Level |
---|---|---|
Pompompurin |
Slow and Steady This makes challenges last 5 more seconds |
Level 12 |
Pochacco |
Speed Walker (this has three levels) Walk faster |
Level 8 |
Pochacco |
Relay Pochacco helps you complete challenges |
Level 14 |
Hangyodon |
Speed Swimmer (this has three levels) Swim faster (this is helpful for Rainbow Reef challenges) |
Level 5 |
The final tip we can give you is to take a potion. We suggest either the Speedy Walking Potion or the Speedy Swimming Potion, as these can help you move faster either on land or in water. It’s worth noting that if you have a companion with the same buff, then the potion will not work. For example, if you have Pochacco’s Speed Walker ability, you can’t take the Speedy Walking Potion.
