EGO gifts are one of the main gameplay spins presented by the dungeons in Limbus Company. They provide per-run bonuses that you’d expect in a roguelike game mode, and stacking the right combinations together allows you to do feats not possible in most story encounters. Gifts can provide benefits that empower specific IDs, status effects or even story factions.

Finding any specific gift among the over three hundred possible options is a challenge, but understanding the fusion system of the shops can improve your chances of gaining a specific boost or obtaining exclusive items only available by fusing weaker gifts. Here’s how the system works in Season Five.
How EGO Fusion Works
You’ll always encounter a shop at the end of each dungeon floor, giving you a chance to buy gifts and fuse your existing gifts into stronger ones. There are two types of fusion:
- Standard fusions assign a point value to each ingredient gift, and the values of these are summed together to see what tier of gift the fusion will produce. You can choose a specific keyword to target with the result, but not a specific gift.
- Fusion recipes are specific combinations that will always give the same item. Most of these are complementary items with the same keywords or story items from the same theme pack.
For standard fusions, you’ll typically want to use the minimum cost for the tier of the item you’re looking for.
Gift Tier |
Input Value |
Output Cost |
---|---|---|
One |
3 |
Under 10 |
Two |
6 |
10-16 |
Three |
10 |
17-25 |
Four |
15 |
Over 25 |
These margins allow you to mix ingredients across tiers for cheaper fusions:
- A tier one, two, and three gift is just barely able to fuse into another tier three gift.
- Three tier-two gifts can make a tier-three item by themselves.
- Two tier threes and a tier two can fuse into a tier four gift.
You typically want to only use fusions that contain three items as this gives the best chance of producing your desired keyword.
You also want to obtain gifts from events whenever possible to fuel the fusion process. Events that don’t match your available affinities can still give you multiple gifts if you instead choose to fight the abnormality, and high-tier gifts you can’t use are always valuable for fusion.
How To Obtain Fusion-Only Gifts
A large assortment of items are only available from EGO fusion. These are typically much stronger than their constituent items and don’t need to be upgraded to reach their full potency, making them potentially cheaper if you can reliably find the ingredients.
The main septet of fusion gifts are aligned with the seven status effects and provide powerful bonuses to coin power and final power in exchange for running only identities that inflict the status.
These seven gifts all have three ingredients, but some ingredients are exclusive to fusion.

For some status teams, it can sometimes be better to prioritise a generic tier four gift rather than the fusion exclusive ones.
- Thrill deals tremendous damage in any team able to maintain rupture count.
- Glimpse of Flames multiplies the damage of burn status high enough to defeat bosses in one turn.
- Red-Stained Gossypium debuffs enemies to consistently lose clashes and ensures you won’t have to worry about bleed count.
Non-fusion gifts have the advantage of not needing five team members with the same status, making them suitable to challenge runs using only a single sinner.
The story-based fusion gifts are typically much more intuitive to create, requiring two specific gifts from a floor pack that are visibly parts of a whole.
- The packaging box and packaging ribbon from the Christmas event combine into a wrapped present.
- The broken blades and blade hilts from the To Claim Your Bones floor can be mixed in several ways to create different fusion gifts.
- There are two sets of watch case and clock hands that can be combined to give you two of the four potential fusions at once.
- N-Corp only has two unique gifts, so there’s no mystery which to use when combining them.
The story-based fusions also typically have narrower use cases. The N-Corp fusion improves all bleed teams but only applies its full effect when five sinners are using N-Corp identities. The Blade Lineage fusions only work when half your team are members of the Lineage.
The stores do allow you to change your equipped identities to pivot for a specific fusion you’ve gained at a minor cost.
How To Fuse Lunar Memory
There’s only one tier five fusion recipe in the game, and it is worthy of the title. Lunar Memory turns all damage resistances for enemies to fatal, multiplying all of your damage without any conditions or drawbacks.
Lunar memory can appear without using fusion, but it is rare enough that many players won’t encounter it, even if choosing floors that have an increased drop rate for it. It can only be fused in the super shop due to needing five ingredients.
The super store has a chance of appearing on every floor. Its appearance rate increases whenever you spend money in a store. It has a larger stock of gifts, two skill replacements, and can fuse five ingredients instead of three.
To make it, you need five different tier four items, many of which you’ll need to fuse first. The first three ingredients are the tier four ‘memory’ gifts for the physical damage types.
- Sundered Memory for slashing.
- Punctured Memory for Piercing.
- Crushed Memory for Blunt.
The most reliable way of gaining them is by fusing them in the super store. Using four ingredients instead of three increases the success rate from 90 percent to 99 percent. Since you’ll be making a bunch of consecutive fusions, that one in ten failure chance is liable to occur at least once otherwise.
The remaining ingredients for Lunar Memory are the Sin Fragments, a set of seven tier four items tied to the different sin affinities and status types. Any two of these gems will work as long as the three memories are present. Like the memories, these will rarely appear in stores, but to gather enough, you’ll likely need to fuse them yourself.
All of these tier four fusions have a risk due to there being other tier four gifts that you can obtain instead of the Lunar Memory ingredients. Attempting to fuse the Fragment of Hellfire has a chance of giving the Glimpse of Flames. When this happens, you can recycle the unneeded tier four item as an ingredient.
The two last things you can do to improve your chance of obtaining Lunar Memory is to choose the right Grace bonuses when entering the dungeon and to toggle hard mode to increase the number of rewards you get.
- Moon Star-Shop gives you a free keyword refresh to search for memories or other gifts useful to your build.
- Binary Star-Shop increases the chance of tier-four ingredients appearing in the store.
- Chance Comet gives you partial refunds when fusing. Fusing a tier four material on each floor will give you a significant refund.
- Cumulating Starcloud gives you interest on your savings on each floor. This lets you spend the first few floors saving extra money and only spending on vital ingredients, and it helps you guarantee a super store when you spend all those savings at once.
In testing, this combination allowed the ingredients to be prepared by the fourth shop with enough money leftover to guarantee a super store if it hasn’t appeared on floor four. It can be done earlier by taking advantage of seasonal floors that offer high-level gifts.
