There are some things you expect to see in every WWE 2K game: impressive visuals, superstars who deserve better ratings, and plenty of easter eggs and tiny details. WWE 2K25 contains all these series staples.
The game is filled with little references to things, particularly WWE’s main competitor, AEW. There are also easter eggs about WWE’s history and previous games in the series. As for details, there are plenty of small ones in this game that are easy to miss. They don’t make a huge difference to your enjoyment of the game, but they showcase the developers’ attention to detail. Here are some of the most notable easter eggs and details.
10
Paragon Jay Pierce Loves LA Knight
Can Be Heard In MyRise
During the MyRise mode, you may run into Paragon Jay Pierce. He is a fictional non-WWE wrestler who sometimes appears in these games. When you see him in WWE 2K25, he moves the story forward while also giving a lot of praise to LA Knight.
He says that Knight is his favourite wrestler and that Knight reminds him a lot of himself. This is because, back in WWE 2K22, LA Knight voiced the character, so it’s a funny reference to that.
Can Be Found On The Island
On The Island, there are plenty of clear references to WWE superstars, but there are also some hidden ones. For example, there is a cemetery with gravestones dedicated to some of the animals seen on WWE TV.
There is one for Damien, which was the name given to Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts’s python that he’d bring to the ring. Al Snow’s pet chihuahua, Pepper, who was featured in a very controversial storyline, gets a headstone. There’s also a spider with a sheet draped over it, which seems to refer to the tarantula that Erick Rowan used to carry to the ring. Finally, there is a grave dedicated to The Gobbledy Gooker, an infamous character seen on WWE TV.

Shawn Spears AEW Reference
Can Be Heard During Matches
When certain superstars get weapons out from under the ring during a match, the commentators have some unique lines about it. For example, they make a big deal of The Sandman grabbing a kendo stick, even calling it a Singapore cane, which is what it was often called when he used it.
The most interesting one is when Shawn Spears grabs a chair as the commentators bring up his old nickname, the Chairman. This is notable because that was his gimmick when he worked in the rival promotion AEW.
7
Ava And Joe Gacy’s Connection
Can Be Heard In MyGM
Ava Raine is an option as a general manager in MyGM. If she’s chosen and then picks Joe Gacy in the draft, Byron Saxton delivers some unique dialogue. He says, “Ava chooses Joe Gacy; obviously, there is no schism there.”
The term ‘schism’ means a division between two strongly opposed sides. The Schism was also the name of the NXT faction that both Joe Gacy and Ava were a part of from 2022 to 2023. It’s a clever reference to the team.
6
Mick Foley’s Signature Noises
Can Be Heard During Matches
If you’ve ever watched a match featuring Mick Foley, you may have noticed the wild noises he makes while attacking his opponent. He often sounds like a wild animal.
This is also the case in WWE 2K25 if you play as one of his different gimmicks: Mankind, Cactus Jack, or Dude Love. He makes those same weird noises. The commentators do talk over it, so you need to turn them down in the audio settings to be able to hear the strange screams and screeches. It’s a nice little easter egg for Foley fans.
5
Carlito Actually Bites His Apple
Can Be Seen During Matches
Carlito’s signature weapon in the game is his trusty apple. When wielding it, he has a unique grapple attack that involves him taking a bite of his apple and spitting it in his opponent’s face, as he’s known to do. What’s interesting is that, like many other weapons, the apple doesn’t have unlimited use.
This is because Carlito actually takes bites out of it. It begins with one bite, then if he does it enough, he’s only left with the core of the apple, so he throws it to the ground. This is a small but very cool hidden detail. It also makes Carlito more enjoyable to play as than some of the highest-rated wrestlers in the game.
4
WWE 2K21 License Plate
Can Be Found During Backtage Brawls
When you’re fighting in the NXT parking lot, you can find a vehicle with a “WWE 2K21” license plate. The significance of this is that WWE 2K21 was a game that never came out. The entry before it was a broken mess, and then COVID happened. So, the title ended up being canceled.

The WWE games include new stars with every entry, but the legends are always there.
However, 2K has found a sneaky way to still include WWE 2K21 in the series by making it a license plate. Nothing seems to be special about the vehicle it’s attached to. Perhaps it should have had flat tires or something to signify the fact that WWE 2K21 went nowhere.
3
Firefly Funhouse On The Island
Can Be Found On The Island
One of the harder-to-spot easter eggs is locked behind a gate on The Island. If you go right up to it and look closely, you can see an old-school television set and a rocking chair.
This is a reference to the late, great Bray Wyatt. More specifically, it’s about the Firefly Funhouse, which was a twisted version of a children’s show that Bray Wyatt hosted for a while. It’s a nice tribute to the iconic WWE superstar.
2
CM Punk References His Surprise Visit To Raw
Can Be Heard In MyRise
In 2023, while still working for AEW, CM Punk turned up backstage for an episode of Raw to say hello to people. It was a big story because Punk had famously fallen out with WWE when he left in 2014 and was now working with their rivals. He couldn’t appear on camera or anything, and the people in charge at the time actually asked him to leave.
Still, it was a notable behind-the-scenes moment that is referenced in WWE 2K25’s MyRise mode. Without going too much into MyRise spoiler territory, in-game Punk says that his visit to Raw led to his actions in the story.
1
Special AEW-Inspired Entrance
Can Be Unlocked In MyRise
During MyRise, you can unlock a special ‘Throne Smasher’ entrance, which involves a wrestler coming out and smashing the stone throne that Triple H previously used as part of his entrance. They do so with the superstar’s signature sledgehammer to add insult to injury.
It’s a clear nod to the time Cody Rhodes made a similar entrance during his time in AEW. In fact, if you set it as Rhodes’s entrance, there is special commentary that acknowledges his destruction of the throne. So, in WWE 2K24, Rhodes got one of the series’ best game covers, and now he gets one of the best entrances.
