Forza Horizon 5’s Eliminator Trophy Has Hunters Fearing The Platinum Grind On PS5

Forza Horizon 5's Eliminator Trophy Has Hunters Fearing The Platinum Grind On PS5

Summary

  • Forza Horizon 5’s PS5 trophy list has been revealed ahead of its port to the platform next month.
  • There will be 165 trophies in total, although only 53 of them need to be unlocked to get the platinum.
  • The trophy that requires you to win a round of Eliminator might be harder to unlock than it seems.

Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PS5, a sentence that still feels odd to write despite Xbox being pretty open about anything and everything from its exclusives catalog now being eligible for cross-platform ports. With six weeks to go until Forza’s big PlayStation debut, its move away from Xbox exclusivity is now starting to feel even more real as the game’s trophy list has been revealed, and it’s a big one.

TrueTrophies has shared the full list of trophies PS5 players will be able to unlock, and while it’s simply the game’s Xbox achievements converted into a trophy list, it’s still fun to see, especially with the Forza devs having to figure out which achievements should be bronze, silver, and gold. Trophy hunters will also want to know what it will take to unlock Forza’s platinum, and there’s good and bad news on that front.

Forza Horizon 5 will bring a whopping 165 trophies when it makes the jump from Xbox to PS5 next month. However, only 53 of those will need to be unlocked to attain its platinum, those being the 53 achievements that were included with the game when it launched on Xbox Series X|S. However, at least one of those trophies is going to be a heck of a grind, especially if you’re new to the game which most presumably will be on the new platform.

Forza Horizon 5’s PlayStation Trophy List Has Been Revealed

It’s One Round Of Eliminator, How Card Could It Be?

The trophy that sticks out in Forza 5’s base 53 is Chicken Dinner. To unlock the Chicken Dinner trophy, you will need to win a round of Eliminator. To a Forza 5 newbie, winning one round of something might not sound all that difficult. However, when you learn it’s the racing series’ take on a battle royale with up to 72 players competing for a single crown in an arena that’s gradually decreasing in size, you start to realize just how difficult it is to be the last one standing in Eliminator.

Trophy hunters unfamiliar with Forza have had the bad news broken to them in the replies to a post by u/ps1-4-eva on the r/trophies subreddit. Circling back around to the good news, there will be a lot of trophies to hunt. 53 in the base game, an additional 57 via all of the DLC that will come with every edition of Forza on PS5, and an additional 54 trophies for those of you with the premium edition thanks to the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure modes. Xbox players will also have more achievements to unlock when Forza comes to PS5 as 17 more will be available then the Horizon Realms update drops on all platforms on release day.
