In Valorant, this ability is limited to certain agents, usually Initiators and Duelists. Flashes and blinds help players push certain areas, get away from sticky positions, and catch enemies off-guard.

Skye

Role: Initiator

Skye is a slightly underrated pick in the Initiator class in Valorant. She has unique scouting tools in her kit, including her Guiding Light signature ability (E). Unlike other flashes in the game, Skye’s flashes are more dynamic in the sense that players can actually control the direction or “guide” the bird however they want. Not only that, Guiding Light also gives an audio cue if it flashes any enemy in the area.

On maps like Bind, where Skye actually works pretty well, players can do some unique tricks, such as guiding their bird through teleporters. This not only helps know enemies default, but can also catch them off-guard, letting teammates take advantage. With her AOE healing, Skye can also provide great support to the team.

Omen

Role: Controller

Usually, flashes and blinds are restricted to Initiators and Duelists. However, Omen and Vyse are the exceptions. There is no doubt Omen is an excellent Controller agent, and his Paranoia blind gives him more versatility than other agents. While Brimstone has aggressive abilities, Omen’s Paranoia helps catch enemies off-guard during hard pushes.

In addition, his Paranoia-Shrouded Steps combo is also very popular among Omen mains, who utilize it to deceive enemies. On a map with straight lanes and verticality, players can easily utilize Omen’s Paranoia.

Reyna

Role: Duelist

Most of the Duelists in Valorant have flash abilities. However, to make something unique, the devs gave Reyna a blind ability, rather than a traditional flash. Basically, Leer nearsights every enemy in range. It is much easier to use and team-friendly, as players can use it freely as it doesn’t affect teammates.

When a Reyna player uses Leer, enemies have only two options: either take cover and let the Leer play out, or shoot it down. If players go with the first option, Reyna and his teammates can take the space easily. If enemies try to shoot Leer down, it disrupts their crosshair positions and Reyna can pop out and try to take the frag.

Gekko

Like Skye, Gekko also has a flash ability, which can detect the presence of any enemy in a particular area. Ever since his launch, Gekko has been a popular initiator and has found its place in multiple comps. His signature ability, Dizzy, has proven to be a great scouting tool.

Gekko can throw Dizzy, and she will throw a goop to blind enemies in its site. Similar to Reyna’s Leer ability, it can be shot down. However, doing so is trickier. Like all of Gekko’s abilities, Dizzy can also be picked up and used after a short cooldown. Players can learn some throws to get the most value out of Dizzy while playing Gekko.

Yoru

Role: Duelist

Yoru has one of the most easy-to-use flashes in Valorant. Players can bounce it off the surface to flash the enemies. Yoru’s Blindside is also handy for using the “flash and break-out” strategy while the enemy smokes the choke point or entrances. One of the most common uses of Yoru’s flash is to flash the area where his gatecrash is located to teleport there and kill the enemies without taking the head-on fight.

On top of that, Yoru’s Fakeout can also be considered a pseudo-flash. When an enemy shoots at the clone, it not only faces toward the enemy to reveal the direction of the gunshot, but also flashes the cone area. Phoenix

The “Fire Boy” of the Valorant has always been overshadowed by Jett, Raze, and Reyna. However, Phoenix has found his place in certain plays, thanks to changes to his flash ability, Curveball. First, the devs changed its wind-up time, and they later made it Phoenix’s signature ability.
