The One Punch Man manga is redrawing the same arc yet again. Fans are quite displeased.
Now, the anime has lost a lot of popularity, mainly due to bad anime adaptation following the first season. Season 3 of One Punch Man is almost here, and things aren’t looking good at all.
Animators for One Punch Man Season 3 Are Unhappy
They Express Their Concerns on Twitter
The One Punch Man series has never been able to reach the same height it had when its first season came out. One Punch Man Season 2, for example, was a huge disappointment, and turned many fans away from the series.
Many, while also doubtful, had some hopes for Season 3 of One Punch Man, but with every passing day, it seems more fans are losing faith in this new season.
For one, Season 2 and Season 3 are worked on by the same studio, which is definitely a huge concern. Atsushi Fujishiro is the JF Staff producer, and he definitely tried to alleviate fans’ doubt by saying the following:
“Preparations for the third season are steadily progressing. As a highly popular title with high expectations, we’re committed to delivering a season that won’t disappoint.” — Atsushi Fujishiro
However, despite what he said, this season still looks like it will be underwhelming. Recently, a pre-animated trailer came out, which was all made by a single animator, suggesting that production for One Punch Man Season 3 hasn’t even started or has barely started as they have nothing to show for it. This means that in the remaining time, the animators will be forced to deliver whatever they can come up with, making this upcoming One Punch Man season a disaster. It isn’t the animator’s fault, and it’s obvious there are some big production issues. The season is coming out in about 7 months, and nothing looks promising so far.

Animators for One Punch Man season 3 were posting on Twitter about their feelings for this season.
One said “I’m starting to lose motivation” and the other said, “I’m afraid my lack of animation skills will be revealed”.
If an anime flops, even if it isn’t the animator’s fault, the internet will still have a lot to say about their work, which definitely isn’t a nice thing to see constantly.
Animators can’t do magic, and if they aren’t given the necessary time and resources, they will not be able to produce a good anime season. The producers are setting the animators up for failure, who will largely be blamed by uninformed fans for the drop in quality that will inevitably come. Moreover, animators losing motivation just goes to show that the job in front of them is way too taxing with too little time, and that they fear backlash from the fans.
One Punch Man season 3 is planned for October of this year, so unless there’s a miracle, it’s unlikely that this situation is salvageable.
