There are, quite simply, too many Pokemon now, as we’re well into four figures when you’re counting, and that’s not even including the various forms; once you take into account the 63 flavours of Alcremie, the numbers become untenable. Therefore, each new Pokemon game picks and chooses which monsters to include.

We’ve taken a few liberties with this list. Most importantly, if we’ve seen a Pokemon, then we’re assuming that the rest of its evolution line will appear in the game. If Umbreon doesn’t appear in Legends: Z-A, I’ll eat my Hatterene.
We’d also expect to see some new forms of Pokemon or Mega-evolutions in the game – Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr are prime candidates for that. But we’ll keep this guide updated whenever any new information drops, so check back to see whether your favourite partner made the cut.
