Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 gives you a good list of horses to choose from if you don’t want to stick with Pebbles long-term. Every horse in the game has different stats, making some inherently better than others no matter your horsemanship skill level.
While your horse will usually just be your method for getting around, you’ll occasionally be challenged to a horse race or may want to use your horse in combat or to get somewhere quickly, all of which will require speed. Racing Horseshoes are an easy way to increase the speed of any horse, no matter their base stats; here’s where to find some.

Where To Find Racing Horseshoes In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To get the Racing Horseshoes, you’ll first need to progress through the main story until you reach the second region of Kuttenberg. Once here, the first town you’ll enter is Suchdol, which is also the closest town to the location of the Horseshoes. From Suchdol, follow the road leading northeast until you reach the first patch of trees that the river runs through. In the center of those trees will be a location marked on the map as, “Watering Hole”.
This camp is now abandoned, so no need to worry about a fight. In the tent to the left will be a sac that can be searched, with the first item found within the sac being the Racing Horseshoes. While not clearly stated, this is four horseshoes in one, and only this one needs to be equipped on your horse to get the boost in speed. Also found in the sac in the tent will be:
-
3
Apple
-
2
Aesop
(increases your horse riding and dog handling skills)
- 23 Groschen
-
7
Salt

Bonus From The Racing Horseshoes In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
When equipped on your horse, the Racing Horseshoes boost your horse’s speed by five. These are the best horseshoes in the game and the best single boost to your horse speed you can get. To give perspective, one of the fastest speeds in the game a horse can achieve is 60, so a boost of five is fairly significant especially when engaging in races against horses around that speed. Depending on what you use your horse for, you’ll want to check on the other gear you’ve equipped on the horse as some saddles and bridles will lower its speed, though offering boosts in other stats and carry capacity.
