Developer Embark Studios has confirmed three new weapons for the launch of The Finals Season 6, including a highly anticipated Minigun for the game’s Heavy class. The Finals‘ next major content update is officially set to release on Thursday, March 20, and to prepare for its launch, Embark Studios has begun pulling back the curtain on Season 6 with new info drops occurring daily.
With Season 5 of The Finals kicking off in December 2024, fans are eager to jump into the game’s next season and experience some new content after almost three months. Although there hasn’t been any substantial content update since the launch of Season 5, Embark Studios has continued to update The Finals regularly. One of the game’s most recent updates was a substantial upgrade to support the PlayStation 5 Pro, which was somewhat of a disappointment for fans as it didn’t include 120 FPS support on Sony’s new flagship console.

Embark Studios has been revealing new information daily in the buildup to Season 6 of The Finals. The latest info drop revealed three new weapons for the upcoming update, one for each class. For Light players, the ARN-220 is a brand-new assault rifle with lightning-fast reloads thanks to its secondary magazine. It also boasts a smooth recoil pattern with a high rate of fire. As for the Medium class, the CB-01 Repeater is a new lever-action rifle built for precision. Finally, there’s the highly anticipated Minigun for Heavy players. As expected, the Minigun has a high rate of fire and a massive ammo reserve, but Embark says fans shouldn’t expect to run anywhere fast with the Minigun equipped.
New Weapons Confirmed for The Finals Season 6
LIGHT | ARN-220 |
The lightweight contender’s best friend! This zippy assault rifle keeps you in the fight with lightning-fast reloads thanks to its secondary magazine. With a smooth recoil and a blistering fire rate, it’s built to shred mid-range targets before they know what hit ‘em! |

MEDIUM | CB-01 Repeater |
This hard-hitting lever-action rifle is built for precision. Empty the clip, snap in a speed-loader, and get back to landing high-caliber shots in no time! High risk, high reward! |
HEAVY | M134 Minigun |
A bullet-spewing beast with an insane fire rate and massive ammo reserves. Hold down the fort, spin up the barrel, and let it rip. Just don’t expect to run anywhere fast! |
There’s plenty more in store for Season 6 too, including some new sponsors, changes to existing game modes, a “remixed” version of a classic map, and plenty of new cosmetic items for players to get their hands on. Embark Studios also recently pulled back the curtain on The Finals‘ venture into the world of esports, revealing that some major changes would be made in Season 6 to prepare for the Major qualifiers later this year. The update will include enhanced private match experiences, an upgraded spectator mode, and new ranked tournament privacy settings for UI and HUD adjustments to make matches fairer and more balanced.
While many players love the fast-paced gameplay that The Finals has to offer, the free-to-play shooter has reportedly fallen short of expectations for Nexon, the parent company of Embark Studios. While there was initial success in the game’s early seasons, Nexon says The Finals struggled to retain players, with later seasons experiencing lower-than-expected retention rates and revenue. Hopefully, with Season 6 offering plenty of new content to jump into, The Finals can continue to ascend among the rankings and keep players interested.
