Space Marine 3 Officially Announced

Focus Entertainment has officially announced that development on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 has begun. Details about the game are still under wraps, as the developer’s focus remains on the successful third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

Acting as a direct sequel to the 2011 original game made by Relic Entertainment, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 was an immediate commercial success, becoming the fastest-selling game the CEO of Saber Interactive has ever worked on. The game delivers the brutal and chaotic gameplay experience of the Warhammer 40K universe, where players take on the role of a Space Marine and fight through countless enemies using futuristic gear. Riding the wave of Space Marine 2‘s success, Focus Entertainment has good news for fans.

In collaboration with Saber Interactive and Games Workshop, Focus Entertainment has just dropped a 15-second teaser on YouTube announcing that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 is now in development. The short video features an image of Space Marine Titus on the left, looking angry as rain falls on him, with the game’s title on the right. The developer has not provided any further details regarding gameplay, content, or a potential release window, but players are flooding the comment section with mostly positive reactions to the announcement, hoping the new entry will be as good as Space Marine 2.

Focus Entertainment Drops Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 3 Teaser

While details are still under wraps, Focus Entertainment said that, although development has begun, the studio is still focusing its efforts on Space Marine 2‘s new and upcoming content. In January, the developer shared its plans for 2025, revealing a roadmap packed with content for the first half of the year. Space Marine 2‘s February update introduced the Datavault expansions, which allow players to complete Ordeals in Campaign, Operations, and Eternal War modes to unlock rewards. Additionally, the patch brought tons of new features, including a new PvP map called “Tomb,” a new enemy, an emote system, armory data refinement, and more.

The developer has released yet another Space Marine 2 patch for March 2025, this time addressing perk tweaks to improve game balance. Additionally, the patch rectified several small issues that were negatively affecting players’ experiences, such as a bug causing the Assault class to teleport back after using its Jump Pack ability.

With Space Marine 2, the developer has set the bar high, garnering a lot of praise from players and critics alike, with the game currently boasting a “Very Positive” ranking on Steam. Space Marine 3 has a reputation to uphold, but players will have to wait to see what Saber Interactive has in store for them.
