When Infinity Nikki launched in December 2024, it quickly established itself as the most successful release in the Nikki franchise, garnering critical acclaim and amassing a large international audience. It took the concept of a dress-up gacha and built an open-world experience around it, weaving puzzle-solving and combat into its gameplay loop. However, there was still room for growth, and the developers of Infinity Nikki entered 2025 with an ambitious roadmap.

The housing system for Infinity Nikki was teased during launch, and players have already discovered nearly a hundred furniture items hidden in the game’s files. While no released date was given by Infold, many fans assumed that housing would be ready by Version 1.4. On the other hand, Infinity Nikki introduced an event around giving the Bullquet a makeover in Version 1.3, using it as a way to tease the upcoming dye system. This made the community assume that both systems were ready for launch, but it would seem that the developers of Infinity Nikki would prefer to take some extra time to perfect housing and dyes before making the features live.

As such, the team has apologized for the extra wait, and promised that the housing system would arrive at the same time as the dye feature in Infinity Nikki.

Infinity Nikki Won’t Release Housing and Dyes in Version 1.4

While some players will no doubt be disappointed that Infinity Nikki won’t release housing and dyes by Version 1.4, it is still safe to assume that both systems will make their debut in the Miraland region. A new zone is expected for Infinity Nikki in the near future, which will likely take Nikki and Momo to a mushroom realm. Furthermore, the Sovereign of Sweet is still missing in Infinity Nikki, and it’s likely that Factions and Fashion Challenges will continue to be an important part of the game.

Players can expect to find out more about Version 1.4 in the coming days, as the update is set to launch on March 25. The current banners in Infinity Nikki represent the full slate of outfits available for Version 1.3, and a particularly good investment is Adventure Ride, a 4-Star set that gives Nikki the ability to summon a motorbike on the fly.
