Pokemon Go’s Festival of Colors Event is making its 2025 return this month, bringing both new and returning features with this year’s rendition. Like previous years, this event will add a vibrant twist to Pokemon Go’s gameplay, changing both the game’s visuals and the Pokemon that will be encountered.

This year, the Festival of Colors will take place over the course of five days, spanning from Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10am local time, to Monday, March 17, 2025, at 8pm local time. How To Get Shiny Bruxish In Pokemon Go
Shiny Bruxish will be available in Pokemon Go for the first time with the start of this year’s Festival of Colors Event. When using an Incense during this event, you will have increased chances of encountering Bruxish.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to encounter and catch Bruxish during this event as a wild encounter Pokemon and as a research reward.
Event Bonuses
There will be a number of bonuses available for all players during the 2025 Festival of Colors Event. These bonuses include:
- The duration of Lure Modules increased to three hours.
- Duration of Incense increased to two hours (not including Daily Adventure Incense).
- Taking snapshots may lead to Smeargle encounters (available in its Shiny form during this event).
Additionally, those that are playing this event in India will benefit from a few extra bonuses, including:
- One extra Candy when catching Pokemon from Raids.
- Pikachu wearing a kurta available in One-Star Raids.
- Branching Timed Research available to complete.

There will be a variety of event-themed Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild during the Festival of Colors Event, replacing many of the Pokemon that are typically encountered in your region. Each of these event-themed wild encounter Pokemon are provided for you below.

Event Research
Free Timed Research
All players who log in during this event will receive free Timed Research to complete. Make sure to complete the tasks within this Timed Research before the end of this year’s Festival of Colors, rewarding you with:
- One Incense
- Four Rare Candies
- Event-themed Pokemon encounters
Paid Timed Research
You will have the option of purchasing additional Timed Research for this event as well, costing $2.00 USD at the Pokemon Go in-game shop. Completing this Timed Research will provide you with the following in-game items:
- Four Incense
- Two Lure Modules
- Bruxish encounters
- 2,000 Stardust
Event Field Research Tasks
Make sure to visit different PokeStops during this event to obtain Event Field Research Tasks, only available during the Festival of Colors. Completing these limited-timed Field Research Tasks will reward you with either Stardust or event-themed Pokemon encounters.
