The Astonishing Adaptability side quest comes from Tasheen, from the Keepers, and requires you to look for a missing person from their tribe. This guide will allow you to be completely prepared for all the challenges this side quest has to offer.
How To Begin The Astonishing Adaptability Side Quest
The Astonishing Adaptability side quest can be accepted from Tasheen inside Sild in the Wyveria Ruins. You’ll have to be at least Hunter Rank 21 to accept this quest. Once you talk to Tasheen, he’ll tell you that Soshi, a fellow Keeper, had gone missing from the middle of the village and that the Xu Wu might be involved.
Once you accept the quest, you’ll have to go to Alma and accept the Astonishing Adaptability optional quest to hunt for Xu Wu. After you’ve accepted the quest, you’ll have to defeat the Xu Wu to progress with the quest.
How To Complete The Astonishing Adaptability Side Quest
The quest mainly revolves around fighting against Xu Wu. You should use weapons infused with ice to deal increased damage to the monster. Additionally, the monster is quite nimble despite its huge size. You can use the Shock Traps to hold it in place.
After you’ve withered down the monster’s HP, it will attempt to return to its nest. While you’re fighting Xu Wu inside its nest, Alma will report to you that she has spotted what appears to be the clothing worn by a Keeper inside the nest, but there’s no sign of Soshi.
Alma suspects that the reason why Xu Wu had targeted the Keeper was because of their clothing, as it’s made from Wylk, similar to the Guardians. After you’ve defeated the Xu Wu, you can return to Tasheen inside the Sild village in the Wyveria Ruins. Tasheen will be waiting for you inside his house.
Rewards For Completing The Astonishing Adaptability Side Quest
Talking to Tasheen will initiate a dialogue sequence between him and the Hunter. Once the sequence is done, Tasheen will reward the player with Specialty Sild Garlic and ten pieces of Life of Dust. The Specialty Sild Garlic can be used in cooking, while the Life of Dust can be used to heal yourself and your allies during combat.
