Vegeta’s New Dragon Ball Daima Transformation Name Has Been Revealed And It’s Not Super Saiyan 3
Vegeta’s new transformation has an unorthodox name.
Surprising as it may be, it has been confirmed that Akira Toriyama designed the form and called it ‘The Super Saiyan 4 of Daima‘ (implying that it was specifically for the anime). This can be considered an indicator of how much Toriyama loved the fans and wanted to make the transformation canon.
After all, it has been one of the most debated topics within the fandom. With the transformation appearing in Dragon Ball Daima, fans can finally put all the discussions about it being canon to rest.
Dragon Ball Daima Had Another Major Transformation
Aside from Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 transformation, Dragon Ball Daima had other standout moments, including Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 form. However, the Prince of Saiyans refused to call it Super Saiyan 3, instead referring to it as Ultra Vegeta 1, which is hardly surprising considering his haughty nature.
Dragon Ball Daima Was A Passion Project
Dragon Ball Daima was announced in 2023, and fans were eager to see how it would turn out. The anime was confirmed to be in development for five years, proving that Toei Animation did not want to release an unfinished mess. Akio Iyoku, the executive producer for the anime, also confirmed that they had used Dragon Ball GT as a reference. He suggested that it was made for viewers who watched Dragon Ball GT while growing up. So, it can be considered sort of a love letter to those fans.
For all its fame, Dragon Ball Daima is still lacking in terms of storytelling. There are several plot holes that need to be addressed, but with Toriyama’s passing, that might never happen. However, fans shouldn’t let it affect them too much.
Despite Dragon Ball Daima having just ended, there are already rumors of a new project, which is hardly surprising considering how popular the franchise is. As Dragon Ball Super manga is still ongoing, there is a chance that Toei Animation might announce the second season of the anime. Toyotaro has handled the manga well, so there is every chance that an announcement is on the cards.
Dragon Ball Daima is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
