Having not touched Diablo since the previous expansion launch and considering how broken Spiritborn was, I’d guess that we’re hitting that engagement metric again, right?

If the loot that drops isn’t Interesting or isn’t build defying why play these types of games?

Is the season mechanic different enough?

It isn’t fun to hit the next torment and have someone using S tier build wipeout the entire enemy stronghold, it’s “somewhat” fun to see but you are not contributing to it so for you it isn’t “that” fun nor engaging.

Extreme sidenote on player power, when playing the D4 beta my last class to lvl was the druid, it was painful but it got so much worse when other players would be near my druid, why? because the mobs scaled & it was already aaf to kill enemies In 10 hits but stretching enemy health bars (for me in these types of games) just frustrates me and makes me want to walk away.

They did something similar In WoW: Legion but perhaps more nefarious, mobs wouldn’t scale to your character lvl they would scale to your overall item level which to me broke the whole RPG angle, imagine progressively getting the pieces of gear that will make your character stronger but it never really mattered. By taking off high ilvl pieces the mobs would be scaled down and you could kill’em quicker, really shit for brains logic.

Ramble off lol
