While getting to know your neighbors is exciting, there’s more to life in Mistria. Arguably, the best part of Fields of Mistria is the magic. As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock new spells you can use to help you with your daily tasks. These spells are invaluable tools that can be used sparingly, as they require Mana to cast.

How To Unlock the Full Restore Spell
The first spell you’ll unlock is the Full Restore spell. Upon reaching floor ten in the Mines, you’ll feel something awaken. When you return to the farm and sleep, Caldarus will speak with you in your dreams.
Here, you’ll be granted access to magic and the Full Restore spell, which will fully restore your Health and Stamina in exchange for mana.
It costs one full orb of mana to cast!
How To Unlock The Summon Rain Spell
The second spell you’ll learn is the Summon Rain spell, which is unlocked after you break the Water Seal in the Mines. After gathering and offering a Ruby, Lantern Moth, Stone Loach, and Upper Mines Mushroom, the way will open for you.
This passage will alert Caldarus, who will reward you with the Summon Rain spell the next time you meet. It costs one full mana orb, but will summon a brief rain storm that waters your entire farm. Use it wisely!

How To Unlock The Growth Spell
The third spell you’ll learn is Growth, which is quite useful for farming. You’ll unlock this spell after you break the Earth Seal in the Mines. After collecting and offering a Sapphire, Archerfish, Coral Mantis, and Jade Dulse to the shrine, the path forward will open.
Caldarus will reward you with the Growth spell the next time you return to the farm. This spell instantly grows plants in a three by three area, but it costs two full mana orbs to cast. You can also use this on saplings to instantly grow them to the next tree stage.
It’s best to use this spell on the first and last days of the season to get the most out of your crops – especially ones that continue to grow!
How To Unlock The Dragon’s Breath Spell
This is the first offensive spell you learn in Fields of Mistria, and it can be used to project a stream of fire at objects and monsters for a short time. It costs two mana orbs to use it, but it’s quite effective when used to clear out the mines in a hurry.
This spell is unlocked after you break the fire seal in the mines on floor 60.
You can also use this spell to unlock previously inaccessible areas, like the Deep Woods. Simply cast the spell, then breathe fire on blocked passageways or tangled vines to clear a path and access new regions.
