The Atomfall system requirements need fixing and Rebellion is almost out of time

The Atomfall system requirements listed on Steam and the Rebellion website are interesting to say the least. There is only a minimum tier, which has oversights in it, as well as a lack of detail, which is worrying for prospective PC players, especially with the game set to release later this month.

While you won’t need the best graphics card to play Atomfall, it’s hard to tell exactly what you will need, as the listed requirements are barebones at best. I’m hoping that these specs will be updated before the game is out, but Rebellion is running out of time.

Here are the Atomfall system requirements:

Minimum
OS Windows 10 or later
CPU Intel Core i5-9400F
GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
VRAM 6GB
Storage 60GB
RAM 16GB

The Atomfall minimum requirements are half-baked, and that’s being kind. You’ll need an Intel Core i5-9400F CPU alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU and 16GB of RAM.

Reading these requirements either on the Rebellion website or Steam store page, it’s clear that very little thought has gone into these specs, partly due to the naming conventions being wrong and the lack of AMD equivalents being outright named.

Fortunately, we can do something about that second part, so consider these our AMD equivalent specs for Atomfall. You’ll need an AMD Radeon RX 6600 GPU alongside an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU.

As for the Atomfall download size, it’s currently listed as 60GB, with no mention of an SSD being required. However, given the nature of the rest of the specs, it wouldn’t surprise me if one is required but just not listed. I would always recommend upgrading to one of the best SSDs for gaming anyway, to bypass this being a potential issue. You’ll also increase your game download and in-game loading times.

The Atomfall release date is right around the corner, and if you want to know whether you can experience post-apocalyptic Britain on Game Pass, we’ve got you covered.
