Release Date & Where to Read

Summary

  • Fans can enjoy Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, a sequel to the original story in both novel and manhwa formats.
  • Solo Leveling Ragnarok Chapter 46 releases on KakaoPage on March 19, 2025, with English chapters on Tapas.
  • A live-action movie adaptation of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is in production, despite the ongoing anime adaptation.

Solo Leveling fans are now excited to see the anime covering the events of the Jeju Island arc, considered by many to be the best part of the story.

While the novel and the manhwa have already concluded, Solo Leveling fans can also enjoy a sequel series, titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. Just like the original story, it is a novel, but the manhwa adaptation, which has been serialized since 2024, is better known than the novel. Currently, 45 chapters of the manhwa have been released, and the next one will be out quite soon.

What Is Solo Leveling Ragnarok?

The following section contains information that may be considered spoilers for Solo Leveling.

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is originally a novel series written by Daul (and not the franchise creator, Chugong), and it is a continuation to the original Solo Leveling story.

Although not written by Chugong, it is considered canon by the fans and by the original author. It follows Sung Suho, the son of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In. Just like his parents, he goes on a journey as a Hunter.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok To Be Adapted into a Live-Action Movie

In January, it was announced that a Solo Leveling live-action is currently in production. Surprisingly, it is not an adaptation of the original novel, but of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. This may seem like an odd choice, as the original story has yet to be fully adapted, but it means Kakao Entertainment is looking ahead and opening up new fronts to the franchise.

Furthermore, it will take a while until the movie is released, and the anime has already covered 13 of the 22 arcs of the story. By the time the film comes out, the anime will probably be finished (or very close to it).

Unfortunately, no information about the staff or cast of the movie has been released yet — which is also a sign that the production is still in early stages, so it should be a few months before any new information surfaces.

Solo Leveling anime adaptation is available on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in many languages. The second season is currently airing, but should be concluded in late March.
