Pokemon Fan Shares Convergent Impidimp Evolutionary Line

A fan of the Pokemon series created a convergent evolutionary line for the pocket monster Impidimp. One thing that fans of Game Freak’s RPG series enjoy doing is coming up with new variants of existing creatures. This has led to interesting new versions of the Pokemon that gamers know and love.

The Pokemon Impidimp is a Dark/Fairy-Type that was released in the eighth Generation of the franchise. The pocket monster and its evolutionary line are a male-only species that feed on the negative emotions of humans. Impidimp and its evolved forms are the only creatures to be Dark/Fairy-Types and are the only ones able to learn the move Confide.

A fan of Pokemon shares some interesting concept artwork they created that depicts a potential convergent form for the Water/Ice Pokemon Lapras.

A Reddit user named dhio_art shared a convergent evolutionary line for Impidimp, turning the pocket monsters into Fire/Dark-Types. Their names were altered as well, with Impidimp becoming Inferimp, Morgrem changing to Diablune, and Grimmsnarl being renamed Pandemorth.The Pokemon fan also provided Shiny versions of the creatures that changed their color palettes from being predominantly red to mostly blue. The artist shared a size chart that shows how big the pocket monsters are when compared to humans. Dhio_art also shared older designs for convergent Impidimp and its evolutions that they had created before, showing the changes that had been made over time.

Pokemon players are enjoying the convergent Impidimp dhio_art came up with. The artwork was called phenomenal by one gamer, while another stated that they really loved them. A fan said that they thought dhio_art’s improvements on the older designs were perfect, as the facial features now felt like they were a part of the Pokemon’s head instead of just being on their faces. They also mentioned that they liked how Pandemorth had features that were similar to those of an oni. The new forms that dhio_art came up with for Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl are fantastic and offer a new way to look at the Pokemon.
