Overwatch 2 Perk Makes Junker Queen Virtually Invincible

Overwatch 2 Perk Makes Junker Queen Virtually Invincible

Junker Queen in Overwatch 2 currently has an apparent bug with her Savage Satiation Perk that makes Carnage’s lifesteal work on shields and objects, such as Reinhardt’s shield or Mei’s Ice Wall. While this interaction is likely not intentional, it currently allows the aggressive tank hero to have some serious self-sustain against certain Overwatch 2 heroes.

Perks are a game-changing feature Overwatch 2 introduced in Season 15. The system allows players to level up during a match to unlock a Minor and Major Perk, each of which adds powerful passive effects or new abilities to a hero’s kit that can completely change how they are played.

Overwatch 2 Making Big Changes to Perks

Overwatch 2 reveals some big plans for the Perks system introduced in Season 15, both in the immediate future and for many months in advance.

However, one of Junker Queen’s Major Perks seems to have an extremely strong – and likely accidental – effect. While experimenting with her Savage Satiation Perk, which heals Junker Queen for 100% of the impact damage from her Carnage ability, some fans noticed damage dealt to turrets, barriers, and other destructible objects created by enemy heroes also restored her health. Overwatch 2 content creator Romani even found that it works on each individual section of Mei’s Ice Wall, allowing Junker Queen to instantly heal hundreds of health with a single strike.

Junker Queen’s Lifesteal Bug in Overwatch 2

This interaction is reportedly occurring with other Overwatch 2 heroes with lifesteal Perks, such as Hazard’s Anarchic Zeal, Reaper’s Ravenous Wraith, and Genji’s Dragon’s Thirst. That said, with a 100% lifesteal on Junker Queen’s Savage Satiation, and Carnage’s wide swing and high damage, the tank hero’s Major Perk is the most noticeable of the bunch.

Junker Queen Perks in Overwatch 2

  • Minor Perks
    • Rending Recall – Recalling Jagged Blade from a stuck target refreshes its wound.
    • Battle Shout – Commanding Shout fully reloads Scatter Gun and increases allied reload speed by 50%.
  • Major Perks
    • Deep Wounds – Scattergun hits extend your wound durations on those enemies by .25 seconds.
    • Savage Satiation – Carnage’s impact damage gains 100% lifesteal.

Natural lifesteal from abilities like Reaper’s The Reaping passive does not trigger on turrets or barriers, suggesting that this interaction is most likely a bug. While players can take advantage of it for now, they should not be surprised if this self-healing is removed in the mid-Season 15 patch – likely on March 18 with the second Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM collaboration – if not in a future update.

While Perks have been extremely well-received by fans, the system is not without its flaws. Some, like Ana’s Biotic Bounce Minor Perk in Overwatch 2, have been quite popular, while others, like Mei’s Permafrost Minor Perk, are seen as underwhelming trap choices by most players. Luckily, Overwatch 2 is far from finished with Perks. Beyond major balance updates during Season 15, Blizzard hopes to rotate some of the less-popular picks out in Season 16 and plans for a massive refresh of the system in Season 18, with every hero getting at least one new option. Fans will have to keep an eye out for other entertaining interactions with these Perks when they arrive later this year.
