After completing Main Mission 14, “Speak of the Devil,” head to Miskowitz and speak to the Blacksmith, who has a quest tip. Ask him for work, and he’ll mention a soldier in Sigismund’s camp who needs a Blacksmith. This will mark the quest location, so make your way there.

Sigismund’s camp has multiple entrances, each guarded by soldiers. Some may stop you and demand up to 500 Groschen for entry. If this happens, try another entrance or pay if you can afford it.

Inside the camp, head to the marker to find Thomas of Kolin, who tells you about Basan, a Cuman who obtained a sword that Thomas wants. He tasks you with stealing the sword, forging a replica, and placing the copy back in Basan’s chest.

Acquiring The Sword & The Replica In Absolver Task

After accepting, your first objective is to steal the sword. Sneak to Basan’s tent and ensure no one is around. The chest requires medium lockpicking; inside, you’ll find the Longsword Absolver

. Transfer it to your inventory and head to the Blacksmith to forge a replica. To craft it, you will need:

All of these items can be purchased from the nearby Blacksmith and Armourer.

The blacksmithing process should be simple at this stage, but aim for minimal errors and ensure a quality of 3, as this will matter later. With both swords in hand, return to Thomas and inform him.

You can lie without consequences when asked if you placed the replica in Basan’s chest. You can then give him either sword. If its quality is above 3, he’ll believe it’s genuine and reward you with 607.9 Groschen.

Alternatively, you can forge two replicas and inform Basan about the guard. Give them both replicas and leave the camp with the original.
