With Jurassic World Rebirth hitting theaters later this year, Lego revealed a massive new T-Rex set last month that returns to the dinosaur movies’ roots. A set based on the skeleton from the original Jurassic Park‘s visitor center, and now it’s available to buy if you’re an Insider with its general sale only a few days away.
The Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex is the biggest Jurassic Park/Jurassic World Lego set of all time, its 3,145 pieces just edging out 2019’s T-rex Rampage set (thanks, Brick Fanatics). It’s going to cost you $249.99 if you want your own recreation of the iconic fossil that’s proudly being displayed in 1993’s Jurassic Park, and if you’re a Lego Insider, you can part with that money and buy the set right now.

As an Insider you will receive emails from Lego about new deals and upcoming sets, and you’ll also accrue points whenever you make purchases through the Lego Store. Those points can be exchanged for sets if you have enough of them.
Lego’s New T-Rex Set Is Finally Here
Go Buy It And Build It, But Finish Reading This First
If you still don’t like the idea of becoming an Insider, it’s not like you’ve got long to wait to buy the new Jurassic Park set. The 3,145-piece Lego dinosaur skeleton will go on general sale on March 15, so this Saturday. That might mean you can find them in your local Lego store starting this weekend too, the benefit of buying it in person being you don’t have to wait for it to ship. You could be building a Lego T-rex by Saturday lunchtime.

Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex Jurassic Park Lego Set
Lego’s Dinosaur Fossils set is its biggest Jurassic Park offering to date. The recreation of the T-rex in the visitor’s center in the very first movie is 3,145 pieces and comes with Minifigures based on characters who starred in the first of the blockbuster dinosaur films.
Between the tiny dino teeth and meticulously having to construct the T-rex’s ribcage, the new Jurassic Park set looks like it’s going to be a notoriously difficult build, and I mean that as a compliment. The set also comes with a plaque you can display at the base which features the original movie’s logo, and also Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant Minifigures, the two doctors from the original movie.
If the giant Jurassic Park set is a little intimidating, too expensive, or you simply want to load up on dinosaur Lego ahead of Rebirth’s release, a collection of sets based on dinosaurs, characters, and scenes from the upcoming movie were revealed last week.
