One game spotlighted at Humble Games March 2025 Showcase may not be a new reveal, but its release will be a highlight for fans of indie animation and classic animated musicals. Published by Humble Games, Billie Bust-Up will allow players to enter into an interactive musical framed through a 3D platformer.

While not a new reveal, such as cooking adventure title Town of Zoz or Star Fox spiritual successor Wild Blue, Billie Bust-Up is among the games that received a spotlight—and it’s worth getting excited about. Billie Bust-Up is a 3D platformer with a style reminiscent of something like A Hat in Time, and its cast features some notable Hazbin Hotel alumni. Styled after classic animated musicals, the title has its characters sing along to the gameplay—whether it be through rhythm games or boss fights set to catchy villain songs.

Billie Bust-Up Has Top Notch Animation and Actors

Billie Bust-Up Already Looks Impressive And Has Some Big Talent Behind It

One of the ways Billie Bust-Up has been able to garner attention online is through the musical sequences it’s released thus far, specifically the villain songs that accompany its boss fights. Villain songs with lyrics have quite a following in games despite their minimal use, such as the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance OST, so it’s no surprise that many have fallen in love with what’s been shown off so far.

Fans were first introduced to the game with a demo boss fight featuring the song “I’ve Had Enough of You,” and it has garnered further popularity through other pieces like “A Million Gruesome Ways to Die” and “The Pirate Queen’s Cave is the Worst.” Paying tribute to Disney’s own list of villain songs, these musical pieces have been made even more prolific by the talent behind them. Not only does the game have prolific composer Daniel Ingram working on its music, but it has some heavyweight indie voice talent.

The game stars Michael Kovach, Ed Bosco, and Gabriel Brown (better known as Black Gryph0n), all of whom starred in the Hazbin Hotel pilot as Angel Dust, Alastor, and Alastor’s singing voice, respectively. Kovach has become an incredibly renowned voice actor in indie animation, starring in projects like The Amazing Digital Circus, Lackadaisy, and Murder Drones. Brown and Bosco are also well known, with the former going viral with his music and the latter becoming incredibly recognized in voice acting too.

Humble’s Showcase Unveils Some New Minigames

The Humble Games Showcase 2025 gave a spotlight to Billie Bust-Up, with a quick trailer and a dev diary featuring Daniel Ingram and orchestrator Trevor Hoffmann, who has collaborated with Ingram on multiple occasions prior. While the feature doesn’t show off much new, it does give fans a quick peek at a rhythm minigame, expressed through what looks like a tutorial section, and a flight minigame. This latter minigame sees goat protagonist Billie gain wings, traversing through rings in a cherry blossom forest.
