The wait for new Doom is almost over with the release of The Dark Ages now only a little more than a month away. If you planned on playing any or all of the prior Doom games before stepping back in time for Doomguy’s next adventure, you’d better start now, and the best, and almost certainly the cheapest, way to do it is by picking up the Doom Anthology through Woot.
Bethesda released the Doom Anthology last year. It’s a boxset that includes every single mainline Doom game released up until this point, from its original run in the 1990s up to 2020’s Doom Eternal. Best of all, it comes with a miniature replica of the BFG. Not the Roald Dahl character, the iconic weapon Doom Slayer uses that goes by the same name.

The Doom Anthology usually retails for $79.99, which is a pretty great deal considering what you get. Six games and a cool collectible all packed into one must-have boxset. However, sale site Woot occasionally has the boxset available for less. Right now is one of those times, and even though Woot almost always offers deep discounts on its stock, I’m pretty sure this is a new low for the Doom Anthology.
Doom’s Anthology Is On Sale Again

Woot has PlayStation and Nintendo Switch versions of the Doom Anthology available right now, with the latter version being slightly cheaper than the former. However, at $29.99, even the PS5/PS4 version of the collection is cheaper than I have ever seen it before. That’s well over half price, and as I alluded to, if Switch is your platform of choice, you can pick up the Anthology for even less.
The Doom Anthology packs all six Doom games into one SteelBook bound collection and throws a five-inch BFG replica in for good measure. The Anthology includes Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64, Doom 3, Doom (2016), and Doom Eternal.
The Switch version of the Doom Anthology is on sale for just $24.99. That’s less than a third of what you’d normally pay for the best Doom collection on the market. Even though the listing claims the Anthology will be available for the next 11 days, that’s not necessarily going to be the case.
Woot is a somewhat unique site that only has stock of select items for a limited time. It slaps those items with a time limit once their listings go live, but a lot of its stock doesn’t make it that long. It has a finite amount of each item, and once that item is sold out, the sale is over. There’s a chance you’ve got 11 days to pull the trigger on its heavily discounted Doom Anthology, but there’s also a chance it’s already gone by the time you click on the link in the box above.
