For Sims interested in making tattooing a career, this skill provides a solid way to earn Simoleons. As Sims level up, they can create different designs and allowing them to charge higher prices for their work. It’s a great option for creative Sims who want to turn their artistic talent into a profitable business. Here’s everything players need to know about the Tattooing skill specifically in The Sims 4.

How to Improve Tattooing Skill

How To Gain Tattooing Skill

Improving the tattooing skill in The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack offers players several options, with the Tattooing Table being the most effective tool. Using the table, Sims can either “Practice on a Sim” or “Offer Tattooing Services,” both of which contribute significantly to leveling up the skill. These activities not only improve the skill but also allow Sims to earn money on the go, especially by offering tattooing services.

Alternatively, Sims who own a Digital Sketchpad can use it to “Create a Tattoo Design” for a cost of 50 Simoleons. This method also boosts the tattooing skill, making it a convenient option for Sims who prefer to improve the skill without involving other Sims.

Players who are interested in unlocking all pre-made tattoo designs should definitely give the Digital Sketchpad a try, as there are a few designs that can only be unlocked by using this object, while many others will gradually become available by leveling up the Tattooing skill.

As with many other skills, it is also possible to improve the Tattooing skill by reading skill books, which are available for purchase in three sets priced at 75, 150, and 250 Simoleons each. Interestingly, while

attending skill classes
was previously exclusive to the Discover University

Discover University expansion
expansion pack, the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack introduces this option as well. This means Sims can attend tattooing skill classes without requiring cross-pack compatibility. Additionally, players can

make use of the mentoring system
, either by mentoring other Sims or being mentored, to further improve the Tattooing skill.
