Pokemon GO has announced a new Catch Mastery event featuring Archen for March 16. Catch Mastery is one of Pokemon GO‘s recurring events, and the 2025 edition will be the first time it focuses on a bird pocket monster. More precisely, it will be a critter introduced with the release of Pokemon Black and White.

The first edition of Catch Mastery took place in 2020 and consisted of a 10-part Timed Research that asked players to catch Drifloon as part of Halloween. The event returned for a second edition in 2023, with the focus on catching Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop, with Tyrogue appearing in the 7 km egg hatches. The third Catch Mastery took place in the same year, but focused on catching Ice-type Pokemon, as well as marking the debut of shiny Cryogonal in the augmented reality game.
