News About The Next Silent Hill Game Is Coming Sooner Than You Think

Summary

  • More details about Silent Hill f will be revealed later this week during a Silent Hill Transmission presentation.
  • The game, which was originally revealed in 2022, hasn’t had many details shared since then.
  • Recently, the game did receive a rating in South Korea, leading many to speculate that it couldn’t be too far off.

In a post shared on Monday, Konami has revealed that it will be hosting a Silent Hill Transmission later this week, specifically focusing on the previously announced Silent Hill f.

The broadcast, which is set for Thursday, March 13, at 3:00 p.m. PT, will “uncover Silent Hill f,” per the announcement. It could not come at a better time for Silent Hill fans, particularly as it’s been more than two years since F was first revealed.

What We Know About Silent Hill f

Originally unveiled in October 2022, f is slated to be a “brand new Silent Hill game,” making it the first true mainline Silent Hill game since Downpour.

At the time, its description read, “Silent Hill f – will be a completely new story set in 1960’s Japan featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world. Written by Ryūkishi07, famed for Japanese visual novels dealing with murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror.”

Of course, Ryūkishi07 is no stranger to murder mysteries, having created the popular “When They Cry” series. But since that initial reveal, things have been rather silent, with no indication as to when the game will be released or even what the “f” stands for.

That said, things did take a positive turn in early January, when the game received a rating in South Korea. That led many to believe the game could be close to coming out. Now, it appears that fans will find out for sure what Silent Hill f is, and whether it’ll join a rather stacked 2025 lineup.
