Marvel Rivals Reveals New Skins for Loki and Storm

Marvel Rivals has revealed that it will be releasing new cosmetics for Loki and Storm on March 13 at 7 PM PDT, though there’s currently no information about how much the skins will cost. NetEase Games has been busy releasing new costumes in Marvel Rivals, as it recently added the Twilight Duo and Lingering Imprint outfits for Cloak and Dagger and Venom.

While Storm has become a fan-favorite Duelist in Marvel Rivals, that wasn’t always the case. When the title was first released, many players were asking NetEase Games to significantly buff the hero or rework her to be a Strategist. Some people thought the game could use another healer who also provides buffs to their team, making it a good fit for the popular X-Men character. However, the developers decided to buff her damage and abilities, making her one of the game’s most popular Duelists, especially once it was revealed that she would have a powerful team-up ability with Human Torch.

Marvel Rivals players think NetEase Games’ popular hero shooter is doing one thing more successfully than recent MCU movies and shows.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games revealed two new skins releasing for Storm and Loki in Marvel Rivals on March 13 at 7 PM PDT. The costume for Loki is called Presidential Attire and shows the character in a dark suit with a green vest and tie. He’s also sporting his usual gold crown and wearing a red, white, and blue campaign button. Presidential Attire was one of the skins featured in Marvel Rivals‘ beta tests, where players had access to it for free. Many people have been clamoring to see the cosmetic come back to the game within a battle pass or in the shop.

Storm and Loki Are Getting New Skins in Marvel Rivals on March 13

The skin for Storm in Marvel Rivals is called Goddess of Thunder and shows the hero wearing Asgardian armor while wielding a hammer. This costume is likely based on a time in the comics where Storm briefly lost her powers. In response, Loki gave her a hammer similar to Mjolnir called Stormcaster, which allowed her to control the elements once more. Of course, Loki was also manipulating the hero for his own gain. Many fans expressed excitement about the upcoming costume, as Storm has not received a new skin since the game’s launch.

A large portion of the community has been wondering when they’ll see the rest of the skins from the game’s beta, like the Spider-Punk costume for Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals. Iron Man also had a skin that gave him a steampunk aesthetic, which a lot of fans seemed to be excited about. With a wealth of cosmetics to enjoy and even more on the way, many players are looking forward to seeing what NetEase Games comes up with next.
