Allowing Spider-Man to focus on local crimes and villains on a slightly smaller scale than those he has battled so far in global events would be the right call. It should create a much grittier and hard-hitting movie that zones in on Spider-Man’s fighting skills, which could create some intense scenes. This will allow Marvel Studios to continue growing the street-level of the MCU, which has been gaining a growing presence in recent years and is set to continue being a focus moving forward. Throwing Spider-Man into that aspect of the MCU is only going to grow the interest in street-level content, which will allow Marvel Studios to tell totally different types of stories.

Kingpin Is Already A Developed Villain In The MCU

One of the biggest street-level characters that exists in the MCU right now is Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. He has appeared in several MCU projects, including the Disney Plus series Hawkeye. But it is in the recent series Daredevil: Born Again where he is getting a lot of focus. He is a major nemesis of Matthew Murdock’s character. Still, there are many examples throughout comic book history where he ended up tangling with Spider-Man, and audiences would love to see that take place on the big screen.

It has been confirmed that Spider-Man isn’t able to appear in any Disney Plus shows due to the Sony contract, meaning if that is to happen, it would need to be Kingpin stepping into a Spider-Man movie. Considering that he is now the mayor of New York City in the current MCU timeline, it would be easy for him to be slotted into the movie. Whether he’s the main villain himself who looks to dominate Spider-Man with his power and strength advantage, or if he pulls the strings in the background and tries to get other characters to do his bidding, there is the possibility of a very exciting and intense storyline with Kingpin in Spider-Man 4.

Marvel Has The Chance To Connect Further Storylines

The MCU has always thrived when the worlds have been connected, and that’s something that Marvel Studios has the chance to do with Spider-Man 4 if Kingpin is involved. Kingpin is shown in great detail in Daredevil: Born Again, and while Spider-Man hasn’t appeared in that Disney Plus show, Spider-Man has been referenced as part of Kingpin’s quest to rid New York of vigilantes. That’s a storyline that can easily be taken into Spider-Man 4 and enhanced even further, with Spider-Man being the character who has Kingpin’s full attention. Spider-Man hasn’t had to deal with political issues like this, but it would be an interesting turn for the character to take as he starts to mature.

It has been rumored that Marvel Studios is looking to take Spider-Man in a new direction, and seeing him deal with Kingpin and the power he has within the city would be an intriguing way to go. Daredevil has made a cameo appearance before in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and that could have been teasing something bigger. Blending these two worlds together would be a popular choice as they’re two fantastic superheroes Kingpin can bring together. If Marvel Studios wants Daredevil to become a bigger MCU star, then having him featured in Spider-Man 4 would seriously help that while also creating an intense villain for Spider-Man to contend with.
