Jujutsu Kaisen, as far as battle shounen goes, is one of the wildest rides in recent releases. The series takes fans through several epic encounters that make the world a battlefield for individuals with extraordinary abilities that break the laws of physics on a regular basis.Jujutsu Kaisen has some of the most interesting power systems, and the characters that abuse it are some of the most fearsome in anime.

Characters like Satoru Gojo, who can decimate entire buildings in the blink of an eye, and Sukuna, who can turn entire city blocks into dust are almost the standard in Jujutsu Kaisen. There is a long list of characters capable of incredible things, but there are just as many who didn’t quite live up to expectations. Momo Nishimiya

The Third Year Witch Girl

• First Appearance: Season 1, Episode 14

During the Kyoto Good Will arc in Jujutsu Kaisenseason 1, a second class of budding jujutsu sorcerers was introduced as rivals to the main cast of characters: Itadori Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki. Among the Kyoto class was Momo Nishimiya, a blonde-haired young girl who rode on a witch’s broom.

From the beginning, Momo did not seem very combat-oriented, and while she did a good job of frustrating Kugisaki in their battle, she was eventually overwhelmed. Going even further, when she joined the offensive against Geto and Uraume, her cursed technique barely left a scratch.

Masamichi Yaga

The Respected Principal Of Jujutsu High

• First Appearance: Season 1, Episode 2

Masamichi Yaga was introduced in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen as the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High. He is straightforward and disciplinarian, as comes with the territory of teaching and ensuring the safety of his students. While there was no upfront information on his cursed technique, it was clear that he was involved with creating cursed corpses like Panda. Masamichi even seems to retain the respect of his peers, including Satoru Gojo. But it was made clear that Masamichi was not cut out for battle when he became the target of Gakuganji.

Kechizu

A Minor Cursed Womb

• First Appearance: Season 1, Episode 22

Kechizu and his brothers were introduced during the Cursed Womb Arc in Jujutsu Kaisen season one. While one of his older brothers, Eso, seemed very adept at battling Jujutsu sorcerers, Kechizu did not appear to be battle-capable. Having a more grotesque form than his older sibling, Kechizu was fragile and emotionally weak. With a single blow from Kugisaki, Esu was forced to sacrifice victory for the sake of his brother. Compared to other curses and curse users, Kechizu was very low on the totem pole and was easily defeated by Itadori Yuji.

Mai Zenin

• First Appearance: Season 1, Episode 8

The Zenin sisters were a hot topic in the clan and one of the favorite pairs in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. Maki Zenin, born with heavenly restriction, lacks any cursed energy and cannot even see cursed spirits. However, she was gifted with immense physical abilities. Mai, on the other hand, was able to utilize cursed energy and had a cursed technique that allowed her to create something from nothing, similar to alchemy. Unfortunately, Mai had very little potential, even compared to her sister, who was more adept at taking on cursed users and cursed spirits.

Toge Inumaki

An Underwhelmingly Powerful Curse User

Toge Inumaki was a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High school. He is a fellow classmate of Maki Zenin and Yuta Okkotsu. As most curse users go, Inumaki possesses an immensely powerful curse technique in the form of cursed speech. This allows him to influence targets with commands and declarations. However, this ability comes with a grave cost as it takes a heavy physical and mental toll on Inumaki, leaving him very short-winded in a fight depending on the difficulty. In addition, Inumaki has no prevalent physical attributes, which makes him more of a liability in an all-out battle.

Takuma Ino

A Powerful Sorcerer Born In The Wrong Era

Takuma Ino is a freshly promoted grade two sorcerer and first appeared in Jujutsu Kaisen in season two during the Shibuya Arc. Upon his debut, Ino was praised as a highly capable sorcerer with a unique cursed technique called Auspicious Beast Summoning.

While this ability provides an array of powerful powers to Ino, he had the misfortune of facing off against the reincarnated Toji Fushiguro. Ino barely escaped with his life, but his pride as a jujutsu sorcerer crumbled as he was utterly overwhelmed. Further along in the story, Ino once again makes an appearance, but unfortunately, he makes little impact in the final battle of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kasumi Miwa

Shockingly Useless In All Aspects

Kasumi Miwa, or “Uselss Miwa” as she calls herself, is a second-year student in Tokyo Jujutsu High and a student of the New Shadow Style Swordmanship like Atsuya Kusakabe. From her very introduction in the series, Miwa seems to lack the physical and tactical capabilities of her peers.

While her determination and dedication is in abundance, it seemed she lacked the talent and skill to become a formidable sorcerer. This was proved even when she tried to engage Geto on the battlefield, going as far as to make a binding vow that would sacrifice her swordsmanship, but was still unable to leave a mark on her target.

Noritoshi Kamo

Plentiful Potential With No Pay Off

• First Appearance: Season 1, Episode 14

Noritoshi Kamo had all the desired aspects of a powerful jujutsu sorcerer, from his wisdom, skill, and knowledge of Jujutsu Arts. His debut during the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen painted him as a capable leader with a sound mind who could get the eccentric bunch of students from the Kyoto branch of Jujutsu High to work together to kill Itadori Yuji. However, as the series progressed, Naritoshi lacked impact on the battlefield and could not seem to keep up with his comrades. Whether it was lack of experience or training, Naritoshi appeared to miss the mark and fall short of his potential.
