Large Hybrids each need four seeds to grow, and can only produce a finite amount of fruit. If you need more, you’ll need to grow another plant. Below, we’ll take a look at how to grow every combination of Large Hybrid Plant, and how to get every type of fruit in the game.
How To Grow Large Hybrid Plants
Growing Large Hybrids works just like Small Hybrids, but with one additional seed being added to the pattern. To grow a Large Hybrid, first plant a seed of any color. Then, plant three seeds in a triangular pattern around the first seed.
The surrounding seeds all need to be the same color, but not necessarily the same color as the seed in the center.
Once the pattern is formed, the seed in the center will turn into a plant egg. Now, water the egg to grow it into a Large Hybrid. Water it one more time, and it will produce its fruit, which you can pluck and put into your inventory.
Large Hybrids can produce a total of four fruits before they stop making more.

How To Use Mushrooms On Large Hybrids
You can also use different types of mushrooms to alter Large Hybrids. To make use of mushrooms, place them around a Large Hybrid, in the same pattern that you use to grow Large Hybrids. This will instantly change the Hybrid in some way, without watering it.
Here is what each type of mushroom does.
- Dupe Shroom: Creates three additional copies of the Large Hybrid, which can be watered again for more fruit.
- Shrink Shroom: Shrinks the Large Hybrid down, so that you can put it in a pot
- Hue Shroom: Changes the color of the Large Hybrid and its fruit, which is necessary for some requests.
- Gift Shroom: Causes the Large Hybrid to produce trinkets instead of fruit when watered.
