Broker is one of the first free Lancers you get in Fragpunk, a 5v5 hero shooter where each Lancer has their own unique set of abilities. Broker comes packing a punch, with a rocket launcher, utility smoke, and a cluster bomb. He’s one of the easiest Lancers to learn in the game with quite straightforward mechanics.

Broker Overview
Here’s a rundown of Broker’s abilities.

(Q) Goddard’s Vengeance – Goddard’s Vengeance is a shoulder-launched rocket that will insta-kill enemies with a direct or near-direct hit. Broker gets two charges of the weapon.
(E) Smokestack Lightning – This is throwable gadget that generates a long stream of thick smoke.
(T) Cherry Bomb – This is a cluster bomb that surrounds the area with multiple explosive devices. These will kill on hit if an enemy Lancer is right next to them.

How To Use Goddard’s Vengeance
This shoulder-launched rocket is excellent if you use it in the correct situation.
As you learn Broker you should figure out when is a good time to have the rocket ready to launch, as opposed to just having your gun aimed around a corner – a direct hit to the head with a couple of bullets is sometimes a more efficient option than a rocket shot, as it has a much slower trajectory than the bullets in your gun.
Goddard’s Vengeance really excels in tight chokepoints and when multiple enemies are bunched together, like when the enemy team is rushing a bomb site.
You don’t need to hit an enemy player directly with the rocket to kill them, as splash damage from a shot to the ground will also do enough damage for a one-shot kill.
How To Use Smokestack Lightning
Broker is one of the few Lancers in the game that has the ability to lay down smoke without using a Smoker weapon.
This provides excellent utility for your team, especially during the attacking phase, as you quickly want to enter a bomb site before the rest of the enemy team has time to react to your push.
Broker has some great team play potential alongside Lancers that can provide vision for your team, like Hollowpoint and Sonar.
How To Use Cherry Bomb
The Cherry Bomb generates seven individual bombs that will detonate after a short time. While the pattern of the bombs is always the same when they deploy, they will react to terrain and stick to walls.
There are two main uses for the Cherry Bomb:
- Blocking Entrances – You can throw the Cherry Bomb on the entrance to a bomb site and use it as a deterrent for approaching players. While enemy players can destroy the bombs, this will alert you to their presence.
- In The Midde Of A Fight – Broker’s Cherry Bomb can cause havoc if you throw it in the middle of a fight, as enemy players will have to react to the exploding bombs by either destroying them or trying to get out of their radius.
