A Kid Who Vanished
A Kid Who Vanished is a Sukhothai side quest, triggered after leaving the vendor Tongdang. It’s about Sunan, uncle of rebel leader Pailin, and his missing nephew. Instead of Sunan, Gina gives you the quest after Tongdang’s hut.
At a tree hut, you learn Aran vanished in the ruins. Gina suspects Nazi involvement, but you must visit Wat Si Sawai. You’ll spot Aran there, but puzzles block your path. After solving them, you rescue Aran and uncover the beautiful Shiva Shrine — making this side quest well worth your time.

The Secret Of Giants
This is one of the first side quests you get. After obtaining the camera in the Vatican, you’ll photograph Strange Inscriptions for Antonio. You only need to capture four to progress the main quest, and these are marked on your map. However, there are actually ten Strange Inscriptions in total. Since the Vatican is large, finding all of them won’t be easy.

Some are only accessible after completing other side quests. When you bring all ten photos to Antonio and pin them to the board, he rewards you with an Ancient Relic. While the quest itself isn’t too exciting, tracking down the hidden inscriptions is fun. Plus, you need the Ancient Relic to solve the Secret Vault puzzle and unlock the secret ending.

A Savage Predicament
This side quest connects to A Savage Discovery, where you rescued Sidney from the Blackshirts. In Giza, you find Professor Savage, but Sidney has been captured by the Nazis again. To complete the quest, head to the Detention Center and learn he’s been sent to a digsite.
It’s rewarding to rescue Sidney again, though being among the Nazis adds tension. Afterward, hearing Sidney aspire to be an archaeologist like Indiana Jones, unaware that it was Jones who saved him, makes the quest even more fulfilling. Definitely worth completing.

Sanctuary Of The Guardians
Egypt, with its rich mythology and civilization, has always been fascinating, and Indy finds himself in Giza with Gina after the events in the Vatican. Here, the Nazis are more controlling. After meeting Nawal, you take on this side quest, which involves Voss’s men excavating around the Sphinx, searching for the Sanctuary of Guardians.
After finding a golden medallion, you and Gina navigate deadly puzzles and obstacles to investigate it. However, things take a turn when Gina wears a golden guardian mask and jokes with Indy, leading to more trouble. Among scorpions, light puzzles, and more, the best part of this quest is spending time with Gina, getting to know each other better, and melting the tension in the hot Gizeh air.

Voss’ Gold Stash
Voss is undoubtedly one of the most iconic, troublesome, and perhaps most disliked characters in the game. His obsession, ambition, and hunger for power are infuriating. But perhaps it’s your turn to be frustrated. In Sukhothai, you’ll need a breathing device to dive underwater.

A side quest in the final open area is tough. Here’s how to get Voss’ gold stash in Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.
However, since Indy has traveled to multiple countries while investigating the Great Circle’s mystery, each place uses different currency. Starting off penniless in Sukhothai, you need money to get the breathing device. You can get a solid amount of cash from Voss’ base here, but it’s crawling with Nazis. If you’re up for the challenge, this quest is worth trying. It’s important if you want to buy everything Tongdang sells, and if you’re short on cash, you’ll have to take this quest.

A Study In Fear
Sukhothai is definitely not a small place. With its islands and the need for boats to get around, most of your adventures are solitary. When the Nazis arrive, you take on a quest to investigate explosions, leading Indy into the Khmer Warrior Temple. Gina, who is afraid of water, stays on the boat, leaving Indy alone. However, Indy unexpectedly encounters Annika, one of his students.
He learns that Annika works for Voss, and from her perspective, Voss isn’t so bad. After solving puzzles and avoiding traps, you reach the Demon’s Tomb. But soon after, Annika reveals her true colors, betraying Indy and leaving him to die before she meets her own end. Filled with trust, betrayal, puzzles, and more, this quest is a must-do.
2
A Nun In Trouble
One of the most enjoyable aspects of this quest is how Indy, already a mysterious character in the Vatican, meets another equally mysterious character, Gina, before taking on this task. Fate brings them together, and they go on many adventures throughout the Great Circle; however, in the Vatican, before they know each other, Gina gives you this mission.
You need to rescue her Vatican contact, Giuliana, who is, unlike Gina, an actual nun. Through this quest, you enter the local museum, where you fight fascists while rescuing Giuliana. Along the way, you get to know Gina and find yourself in the middle of a perfect rescue mission — with a surprisingly funny confession scene before you begin!

Lost In The Past
After completing The Kid Who Vanished side quest, you’re in for a strange, psychological side quest in Sukhothai. At the start, Sunan tells you about a girl who helped a demon, and you head to Wat Sa Si. While Indy investigates in the Demon Cave, he loses consciousness and wakes up at Marshall University, the very place where it all began.
Here, you unexpectedly find Antonio, and while wandering the university’s corridors, you run into Nawal in another strange encounter. The atmosphere grows unsettling, and Indy even talks to Marion on the phone! Once completed, Sunan asks if you encountered any demons, though for Indy, this task has already become unforgettable, as he faces his own demons.
