Where to Get Hunting Commission Ticket in MH Wilds

Among the many Specialty Items in Monster Hunter Wilds, the Commission Ticket is arguably the hardest to get. It still does involve trading like with Sinister Cloth farming, but not in the same way that other resources like it does.

If you want to get Commission Tickets, you’ll need a lot of luck and patience. Thankfully, there are a few ways to make this process a little less time-consuming without resorting to any sort of exploit or outright cheating.

How to Get Commission Tickets in MH Wilds

MH Wilds Commission Ticket Inventory

As of writing, the only way to get Commission Tickets is to buy them from Santiago, the captain of the Support Ship. He regularly visits the Base Camp at the Windward Plains to sell some goods, and you can get Commission Tickets from him if you request Equipment Materials.

Commission Tickets very rarely appear in Santiago’s inventory, and since it takes a while before his stock refreshes, players will be in for a bad time if they want to get all the things that need Commission Tickets from the Smithy. To get as many of these as possible in a short amount of time, try the following:

  • Buy every weapon Santiago offers
  • Rest and refresh Santiago’s stock

Buying Weapons

Commision Ticket - Santiago MH Wilds

Santiago will always offer weapons regardless of what type of goods you request. However, he will only offer each item once — if you buy one, it will not be offered again. Buying every weapon he offers will reduce his total item pool, increasing the odds of him offering a Commission Ticket the next time he visits.

Refreshing the Inventory

It normally takes a couple of hours before the Supply Ship departs and arrives with a fresh stock of stuff to sell. You can skip this by resting in your tent. However, this costs Guild Points, which can be used for other important things such as saving Tempered Monster investigations.

If you want to refresh Santiago’s inventory without spending too many points, wait and rest until the Support Ship arrives with a fresh batch of items. If he still doesn’t have any Commission Tickets, quit to the title screen without saving. The next time you check Santiago’s offerings, the items will be different from the last time.
