As of writing, Sild Cotton can only be obtained by trading with NPCs. Namely, players will need to visit either Ren in Sild (Ruins of Wyveria) or Gawdygog in the Wudwud Hideout (Scarlet Forest). Alternatively, if you’re done with Chapter 3 of the main story, you can speak to Nata, who acts as a village intermediary, in front of your base camp tent.

Keep in mind that instead of Zenny, village traders will ask for Special Items instead. Gawdygog will always ask for Ancient Wyvern Coins, while Ren may ask for Genesis Opals, Mature Wyveria Lanterns, or Fossilized Fire Opals. As for getting these items:

  • Genesis Opals appear only when Magnificent Fossils are present in a region. Check your map to see if they’ve spawned.
  • Fossilized Fire Opals can be gathered from Exquisite Fossils. Again, check your map to see if any are available.
  • Ancient Wyvern Coins appear randomly in the wild. You can also get some by capturing Curioshell Crabs.
  • Mature Wyveria Lanterns can be found from Mysterious Fruit Nodes in Wyveria

You can see what items are available in a region by viewing your map filter. To do this, bring up your region map, then press Left or Right on the D-Pad.

  • Forager’s Luck

The Sild Alpha Set is designed mainly for gatherers. Forager’s Luck increases the spawn chances of rare gathering points, while Botanist increases the number of plant or plant-related items that you pick up. This includes herbs, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, and consumable fruits and insects.
