Gears Of War Series

Delta team is the protagonist squad of each of the main Gears of War games. The grizzled Marcus Fenix often leads it, but the exact members have changed a bit over the years. Regardless of the makeup of the team, though, it’s always a small group of exceptional soldiers that go on dangerous missions together.

They kill a lot of enemies in brutal ways, but what really stands out about the team is their personalities. Each member shares fun banter with one another that ranges from humorously cringy to genuinely funny. So, it’s always enjoyable to see them together, especially when it’s the classic team of Marcus, Dom, Cole, and Baird.

Brotherhood Of Steel

Fallout Series

Factions are commonly seen in the Fallout series, but the most famous of them is the Brotherhood of Steel. This group is easily identifiable because they often wear large metal power suits, which makes them impressive in combat.

They are organized like a paramilitary outfit, and their members have different ranks. The group’s goal is to pursue and collect technology in what is a post-apocalyptic world. They feel that if they stop others from having tech, this will let them avoid another apocalypse. It’s an interesting and unique ideology that helps make them a notable faction in gaming. Their cool armor helps, too.

They aren’t the luckiest individuals, though, since they keep finding themselves in the middle of zombie outbreaks.

The Normandy Crew

Mass Effect Series

During the first three Mass Effect games, you follow the adventures of a crew, who fly through space aboard the Normandy ship, visiting different places. The leader of the team is Commander Shepard, and Joker is always the pilot, but other members change. Most of the main ones are party members that Shepard recruits on their adventure.

They vary in skills, species, and personality. So, this is one of the more diverse factions in gaming. It’s also one of the most effective and entertaining. They save the galaxy on multiple occasions while sharing plenty of jokes and having a good time along the way.

4

3rd Street Saints

Saints Row Series

The protagonist, Shaundi, Pierce, Johnny, and Angel in Saints Row The Third.

The Saints are one of the most famous street gangs in video game history, and they’re certainly one of the most successful in their respective series. After all, while they begin as a traditional gang, stealing things and murdering their rivals, the crew gets really big. In fact, the members become mainstream celebrities who sell energy drinks and other merchandise while still killing and robbing. The leader even became the President of the United States at one point.

So, the gang has a wacky arc, to say the least. Yet, no matter what happens, they remain a group of wild and hilarious gangsters, and their constant witty remarks make them enjoyable to watch throughout the games. Also, having purple as the gang’s primary color was genius, as they always look great.

The School Of The Wolf

The Witcher Series

Witchers from The Witcher series are monster hunters who have been trained from a young age to be able to take down the most dangerous creatures. They learn these things at individual schools. The protagonist, Geralt, learned his trade at the School of the Wolf. Other characters, such as Lambert and Eskel, learned there, too.

Each of them knows how best to combat the biggest and worst beasts in the land. They do so with strong blades, oils for those blades, some potions, their limited magic, and superhuman senses. They don’t kill monsters for free, though, as they charge people to make use of their monster-hunting skills. They all primarily work alone, and each one is a badass in their own right.

Like A Dragon’s story spans decades, and its characters are always changing over the years.

The organization is typical of what you expect in a Yakuza clan; they have various business ventures, and they often go about their business violently. Yet, they prefer beating people up instead of killing them, or at least, some of them do. Not everyone in the clan has the same moral code. Some are far more horrible and greedy than others. This is likely why there is constant infighting in the clan. The differing personalities might make them struggle to function as a cohesive unit, but it makes them more compelling to watch.

The Assassin Brotherhood

Assassin’s Creed Series

Not many gaming factions are as famous as the Assassins from the Assassin’s Creed series. This group is a collection of killers who are given targets that they need to eliminate. Typically, they go after horrible villains who hurt the lives of innocent people.

Their favored way to eliminate their targets is by stabbing them in the neck with the hidden blade attached to their arm, but they sometimes have to be creative to take someone down. While doing so, they tend to look the part, as most members of the Brotherhood wear a cool-looking hooded cloak. The exact design of the cloak varies depending on the style of the wearer and what century they live in. After all, the Brotherhood has existed for many generations and operated in different periods of history, which makes it extra special.
