Disney Lorcana introduced dual ink cards in the Archazia’s Island expansion. Up until this set, every card had at least one color with decks being capable of housing two different inks. Dual ink cards require a deck to have both colors in the deck in order to be useable, but meeting this requirement lets you unleash some exclusive cards in your deck that make it worth combining colors.

So which cards that use this mechanic have the most to offer in exchange for structuring your deck with two specific Ink colors? Here are the Dual-Ink cards to look out for in the set.

Fidget, Sneaky Bat

Passing Around Keywords

This Emerald Ruby card is not only Evasive, but it can make any of your other characters harder to hit in the process. This is because every single time this card quests, you can give another character the keyword until your next turn.

This can give your chosen characters a bit of extra protection. Your opponents will need to find a way to out this card, or it will be much harder for them to challenge you throughout the match. While Evasive is a beatable keyword, limiting your opponent’s options is always a good play.

Ink Geyser

Resetting The Inkwell

Emerald and Sapphire decks get an incredible action in Archazia’s Island. It only costs three ink, but this is a control card that can ruin your opponent’s further plays by exerting and draining every inkwell.

This card bounces all but three cards from everyone’s inkwell. This forces your opponent to have to refill their Inkwell manually. While this also includes you, being able to cut off your opponent at the right time can allow you to control the game with the cards you just got back to your hand.

Baymax, Giant Robot

A Universal Shifter

Shifting cards is a great way of getting strong characters on the board at a discount. The only downside is that you usually need a specific character on the field to make it work. Baymax, Giant Robot bypasses this by having a Universal Shift.

This means you can play it on any other character that you already have. On top of this, playing Baymax will also heal itself. This can get Baymax out at full power without having to worry about anything that might do it damage before it manages to do anything.

Giant Cobra, Ghostly Serpent

A Hissing Strike

Jafar cards are the highlight of Archazia’s Island. Giant Cobra, Ghostly Serpent is a top-tier Steel/Amethyst card. It has decent stats for those the early game rumbles and even helps you discard cards for their effects.

Giant Cobra can help you gain lore as soon as you play it through the discard effect. Like Iago, if your opponent has no available way to choose this card, then they’ll need to tackle it head on, which isn’t always optimal. This makes Giant Cobra a must-have card if you plan to use an on-theme Jafar deck.

Pete, Space Pirate

Shutting Down Noise

Pete, Space Pirate is a card that encourages you to keep questing. An Emerald/Steel card, this Pete can be Shifted on top of another Pete card for four Ink. You can quest for two lore while also shutting down your opponent’s ability to sing.

Pete can also give itself and other Pirates Resist +1 while exerted. Any opponent that can gain an advantage through songs will immediately get their greatest weapon cut off. So Steelsong decks beware, because Pete is here to plunder.

Queen Of Hearts, Unpredictable Bully

One Damage Can Go Far

Never underestimate how far one damage can go. Queen of Hearts, Unpredictable Bully is an Emerald/Ruby card that can be Shifted on top of another Queen of Hearts card. She provides you with a way to inflict one damage to any character the moment they hit the field.

While this does include your own characters, being able to immediately shut down any buffs that rely on cards being undamaged can go a long way. Now, you don’t need to challenge those characters and risk taking even more damage from the fight.

Mushu, Majestic Dragon

A Sword And Shield

With the durability of Steel and the aggressiveness of Ruby, this is one card to be wary about if your opponent plays it. Mushu, Majestic Dragon gives all of your characters Resist +2 while challenging. If your characters manage to banish anything during the challenge, you get two lore out of it.

This is great for when you want to play aggressively but still want your cards being able to substitute questing. This speeds up lore generation as long as Mushu is on the field.

Mulan, Imperial General

Challenging Readied Characters

While you initially need to make sure your opponent’s characters are exerted before you can challenge them, this Mulan card changes everything. When Mulan leads the charge and challenges a character, every one else is able to go after readied ones instead. Now there’s going to be trouble.

This means no one is safe, and you can play even more aggressively than ever before. This Ruby/Steel card gives plenty of value to your deck as it allows you to put the squeeze on your opponent.

Mirabel Madrigal, Musically Talented

Mirabel’s Gift Is Revealed

Mirabel Madrigal, Musically Talented gives Mirabel the ability to get songs back from the discard. You can also play her on top of another one of your Mirabel cards using Shift. As one of the important Encanto cards of the set, she has plenty to offer, even if she may seem weak.

With six Willpower, Mirabel can tank a few hits even if she does quest. This gives you the perfect incentive to keep using her to get back your songs and keep recycling resources.

A Book Lover Naturally Earns Lore Faster

Belle, Mechanic Extraordinaire is one of the most aggressive cards in terms of lore generation. While costing nine ink to bring out, you can Shift her for seven Ink on top of another Belle card. If you’ve loaded up your discard with item cards, then you can get even further discounts for each one.

One Quest with Belle and you get three lore. By putting three items from the discard at the bottom of the deck, you can get one lore for each one. Belle is a game-ending Ruby/Sapphire card if she isn’t dealt with right away.
