Reckoning is one of the last main quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, taking place during the Siege of Suchdol. Henry and Samuel are tasked with getting a message to Margrave Jobst’s army, who will hopefully lift the siege.

To do so, the two somewhat-brothers will climb down the castle walls and find a horse from the besieger’s camp. However, things do not go to plan for Henry as Samuel goes off on his own, seeking vengeance. Henry’s main objective during the Reckoning quest in KCD2 is to steal a horse and escape, but players can first save Samuel and maybe mete out some revenge of their own.
If players want to complete this quest as quickly as possible and aren’t bothered about saving Samuel, they can skip to the section on finding a horse.
Obtain A Prague Soldier’s Uniform & Get Into The Camp – Reckoning – KCD2
The easiest way to complete the Reckoning quest and all the optional objectives is to obtain a 
Praguers’ Hemmed Waffenrock
or something similar from one of the men patrolling.
After putting this on, Henry will say how this should make him blend in, allowing him to walk almost where he pleases within the camp.
Talking Your Way Into The Camp
To walk into the camp while wearing a Prague uniform, Henry will first need to listen to two guards talking about the password.
Players will actually need to listen, as the password changes between playthroughs and upon loading the previous save.
An example location of two guards talking is marked above, but there are plenty of other spots. They can then walk to the entrance at the south of the camp and talk to the guard. Unfortunately, if Henry participated in the slaughter at Maleshov, this conversation will be extremely tricky. A high Speech stat can help.

Sneaking Into The Camp
Sneaking into the camp with or without a uniform is arguably the easier option, but there are only a few places to do so. The best way is to approach from the west and find a small hole in the wall covered by a bush. This location is just south of the main quest marker. There is a smokehouse here.
This spot is best as it’s near to where Samuel can be found. To get in from the east, follow the stream.
Where To Find Samuel – Reckoning – KCD2
When players get close to Samuel’s location marked above, they will hear him being interrogated by Vauquelin Brabant. Once inside the yard that surrounds this building, climb up a ladder into the loft.
Players should then prepare for a duel before jumping down to surprise Brabant. After beating him, Henry can ask about the state and whereabouts of Markvart von Aulitz. Players will then choose whether to spare the life of the traitor Brabant or kill him.
If players choose to seek down von Aulitz, leave Samuel for now and come back later. If not, pick him up and head to the horses.

Where To Find Markvart Von Aulitz – Reckoning – KCD2
When talking to Brabant, Henry will be able to ask about Markvart von Aulitz’s location, which will then be marked on the map with a new optional objective. Markvart is in the biggest house in the village, but the front entrance is guarded.
Players seeking vengeance will instead have to go around the back, something they can do uninterrupted in the Prague uniform. Beyond the barn, however, Henry will be trespassing, meaning he must take out a few guards or sneak past. Ideally, it’s best to get a set of keys from one of these guards.
Remember to hide bodies so that guards don’t start searching for a culprit.
Using a set of keys or by lockpicking, players can then enter the house where Markvart is dying. There are plenty of dialogue choices, but ultimately, Henry will have to decide whether to kill Markvart or not.
Where To Find A Horse & How To Save Samuel – Reckoning – KCD2
The stable for the horses is on the west side of the village, but if players want to save Samuel and take him with them, they will need to head back to him. Simply pick him up, and as long as Henry has a Prague uniform equipped, he can tell the guards he has been sent to bury Samuel.
