Phasmophobia has just received a major new update, offering fans the eagerly awaited overhaul of Bleasdale Farmhouse. As usual, the latest Phasmophobia update also fixes a few bugs, as the title continues its journey to its 1.0 release.

Developed by the British developer Kinetic Games, Phasmophobia was released in Early Access in 2020. In the game, four players cooperate to hunt ghosts while trying to stay alive. While the game was originally scheduled for a full launch in 2024, there’s still no official release date for its 1.0 version. Despite still being in early access, Phasmophobia is a very popular game, selling over 22 million units and becoming one of the best-selling games on the Xbox Store in 2024.

Now, Update 0.12.0.1 for Phasmophobia has been released, bringing some major changes to the Bleasdale Farmhouse, one of the oldest maps in the horror game. According to the patch notes, Bleasdale Farmhouse has been fully overhauled with a new layout, fresh visual assets and other environmental features. Some of the new changes include motion-sensing exterior lights that both players and ghosts can trigger, more ghost interactive objects, and several lights that can be toggled with switches. Overall, it seems like the map was greatly changed, so gamers can expect new surprises. Apart from these major tweaks, a few bugs have been fixed, preventing problems like white blocks appearing on screen, location glitches that caused gamers to get stuck, and more.

The new update comes on the heels of the February 2025 update for Phasmophobia. This previous update added elements such as voice recognition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players, and also fixed several bugs in different versions of the game.

These new updates are just the beginning of Phasmophobia in 2025. Last month, the developers of Phasmophobia revealed the roadmap for 2025. Two major updates were promised: a player character overhaul, and Chronicle, which will expand the game by adding a Sound Recorder. Apart from this, seasonal events for Easter, Halloween, and the holiday season were announced along with the addition of a new small map. The roadmap also hinted at content coming up in 2026, including more reworks of old maps, seasonal events, and the Horror 2.0 update, which is set to mark the end of the early access phase for the popular horror title.
