With the new monsters available to hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds comes new materials that can be used to create powerful pieces of gear. The categories of these monsters may be familiar to some, but there is a new category of monster that is new to both new and returning players alike.
As players progress through the main story of Monster Hunter Wilds, they will come across a new type of species called Constructs. Despite their general appearance being quite familiar at times, certain aspects of them could not be more different when compared to their regular counterparts. One of these differences is the type of materials they can drop after they are successfully hunted. Their loot pools consist of similar types of monster parts, like carapaces and hides, but one unique item to even only certain Constructs is Nourishing Extract.

Nourishing Extract is an item that can only be obtained upon successfully hunting certain Construct monsters that can all be found in The Ruins of Wyveria. This item is crucial for anyone who wants to consistently craft things like Ancient Potions, 
Armorskins
, and Demondrugs. The monsters that can drop it are:
- Guardian Seikret (Low and High-rank): 20% drop rate
- Guardian Doshaguma (Low and High-rank): 20% drop rate
- Guardian Ebony Odogaron (Low and High-rank): 8% drop rate in low-rank and 16% drop rate in high-rank
- Guardian Arkveld (Low-Rank): 30% drop rate
- Zoh Shia (Low-Rank): 30% drop rate
Upon successfully completing a hunt quest for any of these monsters, Nourishing Extract can be gained from the quest rewards. This item cannot be obtained by breaking parts, breaking wounds, or carving any of these monsters.
Upon discovering the Wyverian Ruins, these monsters will become available to hunt. This includes the Guardian Seikrets, which are small creatures that only have optional quests where you can hunt them. When accepting a hunt quest for this monster specifically, it will ask you to hunt several of them.
Despite this irregularity, they will have the chance of dropping Nourishing Extract from the quest rewards just like any other of the previously listed monsters.
Monsters like Guardian Arkveld and Zoh Shia are low-rank monsters that do not have optional quests or investigations. They can only be hunted in their respective main assignment story missions, which can be replayed. These monsters do have the highest drop rate of Nourishing Extract. However, some of the other materials they drop will lose their relevancy once players make it to high rank.
Nourishing Extract can also be obtained from a trader named Sekka, located near the base camp in Suja, Peaks of Accord. However, all traders have their lists rotated daily, so it is not the most consistent way of obtaining this material.
