Summary
- Many fans dislike Clone Rumble due to players consistently choosing the same heroes.
- Some players have suggested that the game should randomly select the heroes at the beginning of a match.
- Many gamers would also like to see the matches limited to a single round.
Marvel Rivals players are unhappy with the recently released Clone Rumble game mode and don’t want to see it return in the future. NetEase Games recently released its major mid-season patch for Marvel Rivals, which added new heroes and a fresh map to the title. As Season 1: Eternal Night Falls continues to age, many fans are already looking toward Season 2 and which playable characters might make their debut next.
Marvel Rivals‘ Clone Rumble mode was recently added to the game, which allows two teams to each pick a single character that will be used during the match. Once two characters have been selected, gamers can choose which one they wish to play and face off against one another. It’s a unique idea that can lead to a lobby full of Mister Fantastics, Jeff the Landsharks, or any number of other heroes. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been a hit with everyone.

Players Think Marvel Rivals Is Doing One Thing Better Than the MCU
Marvel Rivals players think NetEase Games’ popular hero shooter is doing one thing more successfully than recent MCU movies and shows.
In a recent post on Reddit, tik115 stated that they hope the Clone Rumble game mode doesn’t come back in the future. While they did say the experience was fun in the beginning, it quickly lost its shine due to lobbies being filled with players choosing Marvel Rivals‘ Moon Knight, Iron Man, Iron Fist, or Rocket Raccoon consistently. They suggested that, if the mode makes a return, the game should randomly select two heroes instead of leaving it up to the fans. This would ensure some level of variety while keeping the experience fair for everyone involved.
Marvel Rivals Players Don’t Care for Clone Rumble
Many other players were quick to agree and added their own suggestions for NetEase Games to consider. One fan noted that Jeff’s previous mode in Marvel Rivals was limited to three minutes per match. This was also true of the Clash of Dancing Lions mode, which simulated a game of super-powered soccer. The player stated that the current mode should be limited to a single round, reducing the amount of time gamers spend bouncing between two characters. They also suggested that the shorter time limit would encourage people to keep signing up for matches without the fear that they will be trapped in a bad game for multiple rounds.
Clone Rumble also differs from other Marvel Rivals modes in that it’s only available during limited three-day windows, meaning players can’t just jump into it at any point. The decision to limit the mode has been met with some mixed reactions from fans, as certain challenges associated with Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure require players to engage with Clone Rumble. Gamers with busy schedules have claimed that they may not be able to complete such tasks, as their availability might conflict with the new mode. Despite a few hiccups with Clone Rumble, many fans are looking forward to seeing what NetEase Games does next.
