Fans looking forward to news about EA Motive’s Iron Man game might want to keep their eyes and ears peeled for the Game Developers Conference 2025 on March 17. Tony Stark’s armored alter-ego has always lent himself well to video games, and Star Wars: Squadrons and the 2003 Dead Space remake developer EA Motive announced that it was working on a third-person, single-player Iron Man game in partnership with Marvel Games in the fall of 2022.
Since then, things have been relatively quiet regarding EA Motive’s Iron Man game, even as the armor-clad Avenger made appearances in other titles like Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Marvel Rivals. Next to nothing about the solo Iron Man title has been revealed so far, though there have been leaks suggesting that it could be an open-world game that would theoretically take advantage of Iron Man’s flight abilities.

While there is no guarantee that EA Motive will show off its in-development Iron Man game at its upcoming GDC lecture, it is worth noting that Skydance New Media provided a wealth of new information about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra during a similar panel at last year’s GDC. There, eager fans finally learned the game’s official title and full voice cast and saw an impressive trailer that pitted heroes Captain America and Black Panther against each other amid the backdrop of World War 2.
This year’s Game Developers Conference might finally give fans a better look at EA Motive’s Iron Man, which has been kept mostly under wraps for the past couple of years. All that is known about it so far is that it will feature an original story starring Tony Stark, though fans have speculated that other armor-wearing heroes like War Machine and Iron Heart could make appearances as well. Last spring, EA Motive General Manager Patrick Klaus assured players that Iron Man is still in active development under the eyes of Executive Producer Olivier Proulx and Creative Director Ian Frazier.
