Resourceful Reaper

An explosive barrel detonates right next to a Nazi in Sniper Elite Resistance, blowing them sideways as if they're being pulled off-screen by a hook.

Killing Nazis with environmental effects isn’t just extremely effective, it’s extremely satisfying. Among those lethal environmental effects are explosive barrels, crane suspending pallets of material, vehicles, and more. These are scattered throughout the missions and are extremely easy to spot; especially the red explosive barrels.

If there are no enemies near an environmental trap, try luring them there with either a whistle or a bottle lure.

There is a drawback and an advantage to using these effects. For one, explosive ones make a tremendous amount of noise. This is going to draw attention from everyone nearby, and is going to get them on the lookout for you.

But on the bright side, if you use something quiet to destroy the barrel or else spring the trap, the Nazis are going to have no idea where the shot came from.

Trapper’s Delight

A booby trap detonates in the background, sending multiple Nazis into the air in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Killing Nazis with booby traps is extremely easy when you pay attention to their patrol paths, and are willing to use an array of items.

Grenades or Teller Mines can be used for this; you’re going to need a corpse, as well. When interacting with a corpse, you have the option to booby trap them, if you’ve got grenades or teller mines equipped.

If another Nazi steps too close, the explosive is going to detonate.

It’s ideal to do this in a narrow walkway, like a hallway or a staircase. Enemies won’t be able to walk around it, and are going to pay the ultimate price for it.

Jinx

Jinx can be a tricky one to pull off, requiring a combination of things, including a good sightline. TNT is going to be one of the best choices for this, since it has a variation that requires being shot to detonate, and is a high explosive.

This can be done in a couple different ways:

  • Lure an enemy toward the TNT by whistling, or luring them in another way. Shoot the TNT when they get close.
  • Memorize an enemy’s patrol route, place the TNT when they’re in a different location, and wait for them to come around.

The More The Merrier

A mine explodes, killing two different Nazis in Sniper Elite Resistance.

This can be a difficult ribbon to pull off, because the circumstances for this aren’t always in your hands. Getting two kills with a single trap requires two living Nazis to be in the same place at the same time, and that’s out of your hands. But, you can stack the odds in your favor and ensure you get two kills by setting the stage in a specific way.

Knock one Nazi out in whatever way is the most convenient, and doesn’t give you away. Lay a Teller Mine right next to the unconscious Nazi, and then lure another Nazi to the area by whistling, or luring them there with bottles.

The conscious Nazi is going to either step on the mine themselves and blow both of them up, or wake the unconscious Nazi up. When that Nazi gets up from the ground, they’ll detonate the mine themselves.

Tank Terminator

A tank begins to explode in Sniper Elite Resistance.

This ribbon won’t be available in certain mission, since not every mission contains a tank. However, on the missions that do, the tanks are usually going to require some specific ordnance to take care of.

Primarily, high explosives are going to make the biggest dent; that includes TNT and Pressure Mines. These aren’t often going to do the job themselves, at least not with just a couple, but they can often destroy certain mechanisms on the tank that will make it easier to deal with.

AP rounds can also deal significant damage when shot at a tank’s weak spot, particularly if you’ve used a Satchel Charge to blow open a hole to fire into.

Enter Focus Mode to see a vehicle’s weak spot, which will glow red.

Armored Annihilator

A flaming vehicle carcass sits burning on the road in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Armored cars are much easier to take care of than tanks. They’re much easier to blow up with high explosives; it’s still going to take a few of them, but placed near their engine or a weak point, and they’re going to do considerable damage.

AP rounds are also going to shine here. Fire them at the engine, and the armored car isn’t going to last long.

You can start the encounter off with an advantage if you lay Pressure Mines in the path of the car. It’ll start the fight in bad shape, and save you in other resources.

Tracker

Spotting an enemy while looking through binoculars in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Tracker is one of the easiest ribbons to get, and just requires a little bit of patience.

Get into a spot where you’ve got a sightline on a good portion of the map. From there, you’ll be able to see quite a few Nazis; oftentimes you can see 20 from one position. Pull out your binoculars, look at enemies long enough to spot them, and you’ll earn this ribbon fast.

Lifesaver

Reviving an ally in Co-op in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Lifesaver requires playing Co-op. When an ally takes enough damage, they’ll become downed. From there, you can revive them with a Med Kit. Each time you revive a teammate, you’ll get a Lifesaver ribbon.

Tagger

Tagging an enemy using binoculars in Sniper Elite Resistance.

This is another ribbon that requires playing Co-op. Essentially, you’ll want to play as the spotter, while your ally plays as the sniper. Tag enemies with your binoculars, and have your ally shoot them. You can do this from any advantageous sniping position, and it’ll expedite the process markedly.

Bagger

Firing at an enemy in Sniper Elite Resistance.

Another Co-op ribbon, this one requires you and an ally to both shoot the same enemy.

Specifically, this requires you to shoot a Nazi first, and have an ally finish them off.

Be sure that your shot is non-lethal; use something that’s less powerful, like a pistol or an SMG, and be sure to aim well below the head.

Mechanic

A burning wreck of a vehicle sits in the road in Sniper Elite Resistance.

This ribbon is going to almost always involve using quite a few Pressure Mines. It’s best to focus these on smaller vehicles, like cars and motorcycles, since they require less firepower to take down.

If you’ve got the TNT, you can stretch your Pressure Mines further by placing one fuseless TNT right next to the Pressure Mine. The Pressure Mine will detonate when the vehicle travels over it, detonating the TNT along with it. It’s going to deal significant damage; more than the Pressure Mine would do alone.
