Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 leads directly after the events of the first game, as Henry and Hans deliver an important letter to Lord Otto von Bergow. Despite taking place in entirely new regions, many characters from the first game make appearances throughout Henry’s adventure.

These characters sometimes appear as small cameos, giving you a sense of continuity, but can otherwise be instrumental in the events of KCD2. Some of these characters you might have even forgotten about, but nonetheless take on larger and larger roles in the fight against Sigismund and his allies.
10
Henry Of Skalitz
Son of a blacksmith and a lord, Henry of Skalitz continues his journey to Trosky along with Hans Capon to deliver an important letter to one of Sigismund’s allies. By the second game, Henry still has yet to retrieve his father’s sword or gain revenge against the man who killed his parents.
In the first act of the game, Hans and Henry have a falling out that forces Henry to go back to the tricks and schemes that made him so successful in the first game. Henry also gets to meet a handful of old friends that lead him closer to his personal goals while also rebelling against the traitor Sigismund.
9
Hans Capon
Heir to Rattay and close friend (and perhaps more) to Henry, Hans Capon is a suave and charming lord who always seems to get himself into trouble. With Henry still acting as bodyguard and general counsel, Hans is saved multiple times during his adventure across Trosky and Kuttenberg.
Hans is also able to have more of an arc in KCD2, showing off his skills with the bow and developing an inner strength in the face of nearly dying at the hands of a crumbling tower. Hans’s future as a bachelor and lover boy is also up for debate, as his hand in marriage is promised to another in return for the army that saves him.
8
Father Godwin
More of a side character in the first game, Father Godwin takes on a much more significant role in KCD2, even acting as a second playable character alongside Henry. Due to the events of the first game, Godwin is essentially banished from his parish and takes to his true passions: women and the bottom of a bottle.
Father Godwin does not abandon his love for the Lord; however, he is still taking to performing rites and prayers to help those pass on to the next life. In KCD2, Father Godwin is ordered by Sir Radzig and Lord Hanush to find out what happened to both Henry and Hans after not returning from their journey.
Looting as Godwin is pointless, as you cannot transfer items to Henry or even buy things as Godwin.
7
Hanush Of Leipa
Lord of Rattay and uncle to Hans Capon, Hanush of Leipa is a burly man who takes his role seriously and expects others to fall in line with theirs. Hanush is almost always accompanied by Sir Radzig Kobyla, but takes to giving Hans more important roles by the end of KCD2.

Hanush is also the main driving force that forces Hans to take up marriage, ensuring the future of his house while giving Hans a greater sense of responsibility. However, Hanush still treats Henry as a simple servant, even giving him a sword to sharpen soon after reuniting.
6
Sir Radzig Kobyla
The biological father of Henry and Lord of Skalitz, before it was unfortunately destroyed in the events of the first game, Radzig Kobyla is a just lord and treats Henry as a true son after allowing him to prove himself. Without Radzig, Henry never gets the chance to rise above his station and join Hans as his bodyguard and confidant.
Sending Henry to Trosky to help Hans deliver a letter, Radzig eventually becomes the reason he is saved by sending Godwin to rescue them. Eventually, Henry is able to finish his goal of returning his adoptive father’s sword to Radzig, and yet the lord gives it to Henry, knowing its importance to the young blacksmith.
5
Jobst Of Moravia
One of the many war room lords that Henry interacts with in Rattay, Jobst also happens to be the cousin of Sigismund and King Wenceslas and one of the most powerful lords in Bohemia. By the end of the first game, Jobst is the one who drafts the letter that Henry and Lord Capon take to Von Bergow.
By the time Henry reaches Kuttenberg, Jobst is already a key member of Sigismund’s opposition, although he tries to cut a deal that Henry and the Dry Devil’s crew don’t feel is enough to sway the war. At the meeting of the lords in Raborsch, Godwin is able to convince Jobst to aid in raising money for an army.
4
Istvan Toth
A cutthroat made lord by the traitor Sigismund, Istvan Toth led his forces across Sasau by looting and destroying as much as he could in return for the region being given to him by Sigismund should he succeed. Luckily, Henry is able to prevent his reign of destruction, but unfortunately loses his father’s sword to him as he escapes.
Still on the hunt for the Istvan in KCD2, Henry finds Istvan disguising himself yet again among Sigismund’s enemies. Despite ending up in Istvan’s clutches, Henry is able to free himself and complete his long-awaited quest for revenge, killing Istvan and retrieving his father’s sword.
3
Mutt And Pebbles
Henry’s most loyal and hairy companions, Mutt and Pebbles, also serve as a source of skills that you can upgrade to gain unique perks that relate to both. Pebbles was the first horse you obtain in the first game, given by Lord Hanush, but is likely forgotten as she was easily traded for much better horses.

7 Changes To Make Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Go From Good To Great
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is already pretty great, but these little tweaks could make it even better.
Mutt was a simple dog from Skalitz that gained a larger role in the Woman’s Lot DLC in the first game, which also introduced the Houndmaster skill found in the base game of KCD2. In the second game, Mutt is instrumental in completing a handful of quests and even has a significantly extensive one where you reunite after becoming separated.
After riding Pebbles for a significant time, you can unlock a hidden perk that makes her one of the best horses in KCD2.
2
Markvart Von Aulitz
One of Sigismund’s closest allies and commander of his forces, Markvart von Aulitz, is one of the first antagonists we meet in the first game. He is also responsible for the murder of Henry’s parents. He then went on to be instrumental in the sacking of the Sasau region.
After driving off his forces, Markvart isn’t seen again until late into KCD2, where Markvart leads Sigismund’s forces against Henry and his allies in the siege of Suchdol. After sneaking from the castle days into the siege, Henry is able to get revenge on an already dying Markvart after a bitterly sober conversation shared between the two.
1
Erik
A sort of adoptive son to Istvan Toth, Erik is a close companion to the cutthroat and aids in sacking Sasau in a minor and almost forgettable role in the first game. Following the events of Istvan’s death in KCD2, it’s clear Erik has a much deeper connection to Istvan than first implied.
Acting as a foil to Henry, Erik makes it his mission to get revenge on Henry for Istvan’s death and challenges him to a duel. Henry can choose to face Erik, but as it turns out, Erik is just distracting Henry while Sigismund’s forces prepare to attack Suchdol, forcing him to leave before completing the duel.
